No, it was definitely not a complete waste.
But the way it went about achieving its goals was not positive to the existing community.
We will find a way to bring that ribbon back. Just with a different set of requirements. -

3. i said to all the people don't reset your K/D, this is nooblike and i will never delete my K/D cause i am proud of being a fair player and i got all without farming, but the people haven't listen to me and they reset ... (this is the reason, why i must laugh so much..) hihihi...
4. i've never posted anything in the forum and now i love the forum.. so the ribbon "Military Intelligence" wasn't so useless =P i think there are more people like me

50k of kill is perfect , I think 100k is too much kills

okay saidin your encouraging people to farm me being one of them i get the military intelligence ribbon and you take it from me how am i going to et 100k kill without farming? playing for years

Watch this. I got 18 ribbons now. If I used to reset my k/d 2 days ago to get Clutch Killer Ribbon, and stop playing CF after that and spend last few days on spamming forum, I could also reach Military Intelligence ribbon and M4A1 - CC untill this morning. But, this way I miss both of ribbons and CC. SO unfair. OK then bring me back my old k/d and make a damage control. Otherwise I wont reset my k/d few months ago.
However I feel doublecrossed and cheated. Bah, I don´t have any will to continue at this moment. -

If the military Intelligence ribbon was your "10th or "20th" ribbon to get the GP or M4A1-CC you will not lose your prize. In other words, if you have the ribbons: "Look at all my Ribbons!" or "My Ribbons are made of Crystal" those achievements will not be removed from your profile.
After careful consideration and looking at all the data the idea of the Military Intelligence ribbon was doing the exact opposite for what it needed to do. While it greatly promoted our community and forums (which was a good thing) it drastically reduced the quality of the boards.
We welcome with open arms all the soldiers who want to join in on discussion on our boards, however we do not want to encourage pointless posting. It will take a few days to deal with the fallout, but we should be at a better state soon enough.
In the future we would like to bring this ribbon back, but with more requirements and more focused on smart posting rather than spam posting.

I love you Saidin. When the Military intelligence ribbon came out I was happy because it was an exclusive ribbon not many could possess. Then noobs ruined the forums so you had to reduce it to 250 (highly accessable by all) and it continued so you made it 25posts which was ridiculous because it was like a give away.
And now you changed it to another Exclusive and rare ribbon that not many can have and you even promiss to take away the M4-C-Cs to the noob spammers XD.
Nice one.

Btw if you want to make something for forumers only make like "Veterant Forumer": You have posted on the forums for the first time over a year ago.
