your post is too long to read. bye.

    Then don't read it.
  • Well here is a little story for you. Imagine going in a room where everyone has plus 200 ping, and guess what they do. Imagine them kicking you from a room in a server made just for where you live just because you have a good ping. Now imagine this, a year ago when I first started playing there were few laggers. Now about 60% of cf lags, I think something needs to be done about all this lag. There is a reason why we dont go and play on chinese crossfire, cause we lag.

But if there was no CF NA you'd go play CF China. Thats my point. There's no such thing as CF South America. And your point, I said in my post. They'd want to get away from low pinger just as much as low pingers want them to get away. It's logical.
  • NVM, closed this stupid thread down. This community just flat out sucks. No one really talks about anything anymore. Just a bunch of idiots running around writing crap to all the threads. COOL STORY BRO? ....Really? WTF Have you accomplished? You fu.cking need your acc banned for real. No wonder the forums are ruined.

Most of you tell me that you hate "BR's". Most of you tell me you want to ban them. Even some of you tell me that too many of them hack, and if we "IP ban them", we can rid ourselves of tons of hackers. But NONE of you have ever told me that it is okay to have them on the North American servers, regardless of the ping difference. Here is some of my criticism of some of "you", and some reasons as to why we, as a collective community, stop flaming the Brazilian players.

Many of you have the luxury of living close to the NA and UK Servers. Many of you abuse that privilege by constantly cursing down those who live further away, and that they might have a slight affect to the smoothness of gameplay.

    Example…
NA Player1: Damn you stupid BRs!!! Uninstall CF, I hope you get IP BANNED! You noobs.
South American Player1:? What did we do (Translation)?
NA Player1: You don’t ever die! And all of you hack!

    What it means:
NA Player1 is obviously an arrogant guy. If he did not like to play with South American players, he should hold his own rooms with his friends and play competitively outside of pub games. One of the biggest criticism I have is, NOT ALL SOUTH AMERICAN PLAYERS ARE BRAZILIANS!

What good does it do to tell them that they suck because they got “noob ping”? I want to challenge you guys by asking you, what if we did not have CF North America? What if all the CF games are based in China, Korea, and Vietnam only? Let’s say CF China is the only version that allowed outside IP addresses to access their servers. Would you want to play? Can you resist? What if the Chinese players asked to remove USA/CANADA IPs? Or EURO IPs? What if you’re the “laughing stock” of the community, where you know no Chinese, and tons of you spoke English in their servers? You see, you won’t know until it has happened to you, and until you do, most of you will keep on flaming the BRs (and South American players). It needs to stop, here and now. Period.

On a side note, if you take this game seriously, as most of you I presume, should it not matter that South American players want to take it seriously as well? The servers are going to stay right where they are, and there does not appear to be a server going to South America for the short time being (as far as I heard). I am more than sure most of the South American players would play in a server that reduces their ping and get away from all this nonsense.

Back off of them and just play the game. I am sure most of the CF MODs and GMs would like to see an end to this, but it does not start with them, it starts with YOU. If you can’t do that, go buy a PS3 or Xbox 360 and play Modern Warfare versus the computer or something, this is the internet, a free first person shooter, for everyone who can access it, to play.

Analogy of the Segment(AOS): If you choose to date or marry a person outside of your race and your parents told you that you can’t, how would it make you feel? It is the same as telling South American players that they can’t play in a “North American” server when they know they have the right to.

To conclude this segment of “Marked on You”(MoY), if you are marked by what I am saying, please consider it and stop flaming the South American players. It is not their fault that their countries do not support games such as Crossfire. I hope this reverses some of your guy’s actions and truly learn how to respect this game and the community.

*Please give suggestions for the next segment of “Marked on You” and I will give my honest opinon. Post down below. Please keep comments on topic and please refrain from pointless comments.

    FIRST SEGMENT NOTES****
-You may or may not agree with me, again, this is just my opinion
-I am not here to start problems, arguments or wars, I am simply voicing my opinions to try to help the community from within and from without the game
-If you think this is a long read, don’t read it, if you don’t understand this read, then you shouldn’t be allowed to voice your own opinions, because maybe YOU are the cause of all issues that includes this topic
-If this just flat out sucks, I will no longer continue writing this.
-I do not know how to make fancy colored fonts or what-not, so just bear with me for a few days until I figure out how to do those things

No it's a good post. I just had to think over my reply.

I once read somewhere that the reason why they can't have a server closer to South America in the USA is because of a contract clause. Is there any truth to that?

Yes I know Brazil isn't the only South American country. They're a majority of South American players though. I've seldom played with legit BRs and those that don't hack just annoy the s*** out of me with their QQing. So I don't have much empathy or sympathy for them and their plight. I play the game, deal with the laggers and move on. I don't need you to throw 'imagine-this' situations at me because I don't have to use my imagination when things are happening right before my very eyes. That and my empathy button is broken.

I really don't care if they're in the NA server. Because what you said is true, it's a free online FPS game. They have a right to be in whatever server they want to. And yes, it's not their fault that their country doesn't support the game, well enough. But that doesn't really mean anything to me and I don't necessarily have to like it. I live in Canada and have low ping. That might be considered luxurious but against a lagger, it's not that advantageous.

You said, "Back off of them and just play the game. I am sure most of the CF MODs and GMs would like to see an end to this, but it does not start with them, it starts with YOU."

No, don't generalize. Which is what your main criticism was, in support of Brazilians. Your post read as if these actions are one-sided. It's not and you know it's not.

Flaming is defined as "the act of posting deliberately hostile messages." A lot of people get angry at BRs for a reason, in this case ping. And a lot of BRs are just as bad towards others for whatever reason they have. So we're at a deadlock are we not?

Anyways, again, good post. I'm a bit rusty in arguing in forums so sorry if I don't make any sense but I did try to understand your points.

...what a wall of text. >.<
  • People actually praised my post just because i was Brazilian and said some truths? lol oh well, but anyways, i agree with the guy in some points, the ping issue tough is a big problem, having around 300 ping can make everything worse ( for both the player with that ammount of ping AND the player that is probably trying to shot him), and i do have to say that i hate all this generalization that all BR are hackers or something... i mean common, that's like a stereotype right now... almost racism like. I still tell people that i'm BR, most of then act naturally to that, others are just going all out war against us... We may deserve the blame due to the ammount of people here that do hack and whine, but do not forget that, there's always a innocent in the middle that's gonna get blamed for it without having done anything, and due to that, they'll actually begin to hack, since it won't semm like other people care if you weren't doing it before just cause of your nationality.

Well i rest my case here, let' just hope that not alot of people act like that and begin to respect each other... ( i do think most of the BR should be banned tough, when i try to reason with then to stop hacking, they also treat me like ****...)
  • long long story.. i get sleepy to read that much..

Yeah, like I've said, I try not to post two arguments here because I am not gonna cause problems or "recruit" anti-br's.
  • why have you wrote this? no1 will ever read it... people are lazyyy.

Because there are some who actually will read it.
  • Read the whole post and yes it was well written with some good examples to back up each point. For me, it is totally fine as long as they don't go out of their way to do anything that affects my gameplay. (and by that I mean hack/glitch, etc) Ex/ It is absurd to have a majority of a room be filled with say, 200+ ping people and have them kick you when you're the only one with double digit ping. I don't go around kicking anyone with 150+ ping just because I think they shouldn't be playing this game so I don't expect people to be kicking me while complaining about my low ping. (since we all know that most of us can't choose to move to/live wherever we want) With that being said, I do honestly think people who have 150+ ping should not be playing (or at least play in their respective servers) because I've played around in the other servers and it really is almost impossible to play with anything beyond 125-150. You can even feel the delay in the smallest things such as switching weapons. If the only option to play CF was on a foreign server where I'd be playing with an approx 250 ping? No, I wouldn't play 'cause it'd be unbearable so I'm actually a bit surprise at all the people who choose to play with such insanely high ping.
  • Same I believe everyone has a right to fairly play. However once they start to cheat and ruin other people's legit fun it get's stupid and should be punishable. I deal with people with 200-400 ping,
I don't as long as they are trying to learn play well, but it get's annoying when people go racker, or qq, or spam that i'm cheating because i have 13 ping. I can't help it i live near the server, and it's still to be kicked or punished for choosing to play the best I can.
  • Read through the whole post and my intial reaction was: isn't this common sense?

Then I thought about it for a bit and realized the reason we blame other lagging people is because us non-laggers can't accept the idea that someone who we define as worse then ourselves had the ability to kill us. As an example in knife games a extremely common word is tank or tanking, which means you hit them but no damage occurred. I myself say this all the time, after I spent a bit of time analyzing it I saw that each time I had to urge/outburst to type or say out loud tank/tanker whenever I felt cheated and killed by anyone especially if they have high ping (over 100). It's the same thing we do to the laggers of crossfire, some have genuine skill ,but aren't recognized due to both the handicap, and benefit they have, lag.

I agree with your point of not banning anyone off crossfire, if anything laggers and such make the game that much more CHALLENGING, which in my opinion, the average 'pro' can't handle due to a slight difference in hit registration, thus leading to large amounts of QQ and hate.

I'm sad to say that probably this thread will be closed due to the mindless posters who scream. "BAN BRS CUS DEY HACK AND R BAD KTHXBYE", even though us non-laggers probably have to same population of hackers and laggers (contractive I know) even within our ranks. Also sorry if I went too off topic, it's a habit heh.
  • Thank you, I am glad some of you guys liked this post.
  • another long story

Oh c'mon. I think it's good. I want to keep doing this, but it doesnt seem very popular atm.
