Gun Hobbyist and Gun Collector ribbons

so i've seen on the forums someone posted that for the gun hobbyist ribbon when you buy 2 or more of the same gun it counts towards the gun hobbyist but not the gun collector... can someone confirm or deny this please and thank you?

Not true. I have exactly 25 guns as I bought an extra couple to get the Gun Collector ribbon. Those include 2 Deagle-Camos.
Realised it might still be true as the Deagles are BM. But unlikely.

I have heard that you could use duplicate weapons in the ribbons FAQ.

Just don't try to get like 20 M9 for the ribbon...

Any permanent guns count, it seems.
Starter guns too.

Yes, it has been tested by me and my friend. I had two Desert Eagles (Accidental Testing) to complete my 15 ribbons and my friend has six M9s.. Lucky tree.. That's how he won his 25 guns ribbon.

i'd say that only a UNIQUE (from more) weapon counts. for example, if you have 2 awm's, only one count...
