cant start CF since new patch today

since the new patch today i cant start CF. it says: fail to download version.ini What does that mean and what can i do now?? is it recommended to redownload and reinstall CF? please help!

wait like 5 minutes then reload game, same thing happened to me and i waited then it worked.
