Problems with the Patch

Hello Cross Fire Gamers!

UPDATE: The Crash problem involving Flash Grenades has been fixed.

As some of you might have noticed we've experienced some errors, namely crash bugs, that have been going on within the game since we patched on Thursday.

These errors were not found in testing and only manifested themselves after we put the content on the live server.

We apologize for the problems that they have caused. Please be assured that no one here did any of this on purpose and this was not the outcome we had planned.

Since launching the patch we have fixed the EXP problem with Hero Mode, as well as the associated problem of it crashing upon certain conditions involving the death of a Mutant. However in doing so a new problem has occurred across all game modes in the form of another crash bug. Because this problem is affecting multiple modes and causing problems across the board, we will be cutting all the requirements to get the Hero Mode Ribbon and prize reward in half.

What that means.
Friday Challenge - You will now only need to play in 10 Hero Mode Games.

Saturday Challenge - You will now only need 50 Machine Gun Kills (counted for all Machine Guns in all modes except Hero and Mutation mode).

Sunday Challenge - You will now only need to play 30 minutes of Hero Mode Games.
We will also be doing another event similar to this weekends challenges next weekend for an Opportunity to win the Hero Mode Ribbon (for those who couldn't complete this weekends challenges).



Everyone here at Z8Games thanks you all for sticking with us through this difficult update. We know that this is a frustrating time and we are working with the developers to get the game back to a smooth running state as soon as possible.

Please note that we are aware that these problems are affecting current run tournaments, cups, leagues and especially the WOGL finals. WOGL will be postponing the finals until a later time. Check with them, or your other tournament sites for details or news on any delays.



We sincerely apologize for the problems that have been caused by these crash bugs. We are working to get things back as soon as possible and thank everyone for their patience and understanding.



Last Note: We are currently aware of all the major problems, please continue to help us by reporting issues as you see them to our support system or tech forums.

We have also tracked down the problem with the launcher. We have a current workaround here, and will have this corrected with the next client update.
