NOTE - There is a slight UI error which may cause GP totals to not display properly. They are being correctly calculated by the system so DO NOT PANIC if you see the incorrect number.
Patch Weekend Events - Win Prizes and Ribbons!
Along with all the new things in the patch (read below) there will be 4 daily events happening over the Patch Weekend. Each Day will present a new challenge. Complete each challenge and receive 1000 GP for your account!
Complete all 4 Challenges and get an exclusive Hero Mode Patch Ribbon and a 7 Day Assassin Mutant character item!
The 4 Challenges are:Thursday - Log in and update your game!On Monday if you have completed all 4 of these challenges you will receive a 7 day Assassin Mutant character and an exclusive Hero Mode Ribbon which you can only get this one time.
Friday - Play in at least 20 Hero Mode Games!
Saturday - Get at least 100 Machine Gun kills (in any mode)
Sunday - Play 1 Hour of Hero Mode combined (You must be present for the finish of the game in order to get any time credit)
Patch Notes
Brand New Cross Fire Launcher!
In order to see the new launcher you will have to start the game over again. The old launcher (which was used during patching) will be replaced and you'll be able to see the new one!
The new launcher brings a sleek new style to getting News of Events and Announcements to you.
Some things to note:- There is now a REAL TIME EASTERN SERVER CLOCK on the launcher. This shows you the time and date for our main servers in the US. This also can serve as a reference point for when we do events.
- Clicking the heading for each Announcement will open up further details for that announcement!
- Let us know what you think of the new launcher and if there are things we can do in the future to improve it!
- You can click outside the news area to move the launcher window around your desktop (remember if you minimize the launcher window it won't show up on your task bar)
Gun Collector - You have collected more than 25 Permanent Weapons (does not include grenades or melee weapons and does include your two starting weapons)
Military Intelligence - You have more than 1,000 Posts on the Z8Games Community Forums
ZP For Everyone! - You have gifted ZP to another account or received a gift from another account using the Prepaid Card Gifting System
My Ribbons are Made of Crystal! - You have collected 20 or more Ribbons. This Ribbon will award your account with a Permanent M4A1 Custom Crystal.
A Hero Emerges - You achieved all 4 of the daily challenges during the Hero Mode Update Weekend!
New Patch Content
Hero Mode
This exciting evolution to Mutation Mode lets you play as a Hero! A powerful character with a modified machine gun and a Grenade Launcher on its alternate fire!
Here are some of the new additions in Hero Mode- Mutants can respawn a limited number of times(headshotting a mutant will kill them off)
- Mutants respawn with 50% less health each time
- Damage to mutants will increase their levels "Rage"
- Killing Mutants increases the Humans attack damage up to 100% over the base
- The Hero can use his grenade launcher by right clicking
- The Hero always replenishes his ammo from supply crates
- The Hero can withstand more hits from the mutants
- The Grenades will push mutants away from the impact spot
- New Hero Mode Map Merida Added!
This Assassin can use his concussion grenades by pressing G (you can hold G to hold the grenade ready). These grenades push humans away from the impact spot. You can use them to push Humans off ledges, out of corners and other obstacles.
Weapons- New Golden Gatling Gun ZP Crate Added!
- New M4A1-E ZP Crate Added!
- New Dual Uzi ZP Temporary Weapon Added!
- Chocolate Grenade ZP Temp Added!
- Mutation Masks ZP Temp Added!
- Tiger Backpack 10% more EXP ZP Temp Added!
- Tiger Hat GP Added!
- Anti-Hacking measures have been updated and will continue to be monitored. We are constantly working towards making our game as hack-free as we possibly can.
- The K-2 weapon should now drop as normal in all modes.
- Text Corrections to the Beret Hat Items.
- Updates and Corrections to the text of Mutation Related Items.
- Additional Holiday Seasonal Items have been removed.
- Quick Join has been added.
- To access the settings for the quick join click the wrench icon next to the Quick Join button in the Menu UI screen.
Dang i don't even have 10 ribbons let alone 20...
it's going to take a while for me to get that.
i want the that crystal. D= -
omg it is getting so bad that I literly cant even do a game hero game anymore. EVERY game I have played for the last ten games have dropped me at random times even when a mutant isnt killed. they better give us an extra day or give us the 20 games needed for free. cause spending all day just to get 20 friggin games to work is a waist of the crossfire players that have been all hyped up over this new mode that wont even work.
but there are so many bugs
