OMGL.US is a fraud

So thoughout the past week I decided to join OMGL.us, everything was awesome when I had my first discussion with the staff members.I was supposed to do some graphical GFX work for them and help them with the new upcoming website.
However things turned pretty bad when I found out I had to sign up a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and also respect all outlines about confidential material stated in their contract. They we're also claiming to be a registered LLC in the securities and exchange commission office as a legit business, they even claimed to have a lawyer for legal agreement between the league and the staff.
I had to provide my phone number, my name and some other private informations. They even had a limitation of liability therm if someone was going to damage any important or sensitive information related to the league.
I also found out they had no lawyer and the website was roughly estimated to around 30-50$ not including the domain name and the additional fees for the teamspeak.I found out the league was actualy run by a 15 years old little boy named Evan Scott with no credential and a fake & illegal NDA and also that he wasn't registered as a legal business on the commission office in the united state of america and also he was making every new staff members sign up a illegal NDA.
I have to ensure you, dear z8 users, this OMGL.us is a fraud. Please, avoid helping them or working with them. They are currently shutting down OMGL.us and working on a new league named, massive cyber gaming league.
Why, im making a thread about this kind of situation ?
Please understand there is a lot of league out there on the web, claiming to have credential, sponsors, investment and also legal agreements when you register or even when you take part of any tournaments, make sure you alway read and take your time before trusting anyone on the web.
I am also releasing the NDA file to anyone willing to read since it has no legal value (you can contact me by private message), you are also free to report it to the OIG if you any other sensitive & important material related to the league, you can find the phone number on the main website they will send it to the Office of Investigations and take any details in consideration since it's considered as a fraud.
Now have fun trolling me !

Well, to be honest. This an important announcement and it should be sticky, this kind of stuff can get your parents in trouble if it's reported for fraud activity, well at least for the little Evan kid.Not to mention he is asking for people information with a fake NDA, he can do what ever he want this information and it could harm z8 users or anyone willing to sign it and help him. When it comes to legal therms and LLI, don't do any fake documents.
You can make a legal NDA without being a registered LLC business, but you can't make an NDA and put fake informations in it.And ask for people money and claim you can take legal action when you actualy cannot. -

I did have to sign the NDA when I worked for them for a little bit. I had no idea it was illegal..... This does deserve a sticky. The reason I quit was because of the immaturity of the Staff members and how unorganized the league was ran. I'll see if I can talk to Giggletron or Polleus to get this stickied. -

Yes, sure they were asking all kind of personnal information, phone number, real name, location, age, birthdate, even my IP lol, my facebook, myspace, msn and all kind of other crap, they asked me if I agree with the LLI and the damage and if I was providing fake information and they were also claiming to be a LLC and to have a lawyer and they could take legal action. When they are not registered on the commission office. You can search yourself, they are a joke, I didnt even had to print it and send it to an address, just type my name in the document.
I tried to help them get a new logo cuz the old one was looking like WOGL, the worse thing about it is they were trying to copy WOGL in every aspect including the TOS and the rule set.Not to mention they had a donation system for the premium membership thing and they could have done anything with the money.I mean they couldnt even afford a real domain name and a website and they have a lawyer, for what purpose ? they are not even a legal business. -

Only thing I see going overboard on is asking for; phone number, IP address, facebook, myspace, MSN etc. In an NDA, if the person signing it is under the local age of maturity the NDA is null and void unless it is also signed by a parent/guardian that thus makes the parent/guardian legally responsible for anything that might happen. Also providing fake information on an NDA, or any contract for that matter can result in legal actions being taken upon the person that submitted the false information.
Now as for claiming to be an LLC etc, you would need to search the business records in the state/province that the company’s main office is located in to verify if they have one or not. It also depends on what state/province the company is located in, but 99% of them require a business license within so many days of starting out or companies that fail to compile with the law can actually have federal and/or state charges filled. For example in New York if you’re main office is located there, you can be charged with a misdemeanor for not registering your business, even if it’s just an online one and could face jail time.
FYI, this reply is in no way legal advice as I’m not a lawyer. Please consult a lawyer recognized by your local state/provinces bar. -

oh trust me kain they dont have a liscence. They could not provide me information, they said it was private, rofl.
If they say they are a registered company and they make money out of it but they are not, so they could get in trouble ?
They accept donations ^_^
just like the people around your universities looking to help "nature"

Well as for the license being private I find that odd, as it's a matter of public records anyways.
As for the last question, you would need to seek legal advice from a lawyer. -
yes thats what I thought, thats what I told him anyway, since this information can be found on the commission office. All this crap sound very fishy but anyway, who care.I don't want sue anyone, just wanted to warn people to avoid them. There is no need to take legal action against them.

When signing ANY agreement right underneath your signature 'Without prejudice'
You obtain all your rights this way. (Remember that in the future) any lawyer will then have no choice but to pursue your case.
I have never heard of this league, but it sounds kinda dodgy the way you put it. -

@Threadmaker Good to know, weeks ago this league was already stated as a joke and the drafts held were on the same day as ESL and WOGL.. -

I've looked at their forums it looks gay  -
...
to be honest im not supprised they tried to start up a league/business without legal public documentation, considering the age group in control of such a thing it really isnt any supprise most kids these days want to be in charge of leagues so they feel like they are doing something for the game they play or to "get known" lol depending on there motives ofc. they might be sincere about wanting to start a league but if they are not mature enough or legalised in any form they really arent going to get anywhere especially when you decide to do one project then suddenly scrap it and try again instead of sticking it out clearly proves that unless they are commited to a single project and commit to the original ideals theres no point in continuing and should let someone else take control.
