Let me get this straight

Ok, so the faster internet you have the lower ping and the better comp you have the higher Frames per second (fps)?

  • you're right
it's not the better comp xD the better graphic card the higher fps
the best graphic card is Nvidia
  • I dont know lol but i want a nvidia game card to get 300 fps or UK SERVERS. --' Dunno but my friend got a better internet he lives in the UK like me and like his fps was 30 ~ 80 now its 70 ~ 150 And im like burn in hell wh****
    lol.

    Yeah your Right ( :

  • You are correct, although location plays a big part in ping, someone with slower internet but lives close to the server will probably have lower ping then someone with a faster internet but lives far away.

Fps has nothing to do with ping or internet mate. Sorry to burst your bubble.. Graphics cards and ram to a lesser extent are pretty much the only determining factors.. (assuming we all at least have a 1.8 gh cpu..)

Ether he lied about his fps, or he lowerd graphics quality/upgrade his comp/ or started using a game booster program to free up memory/ram.

Fps is FRAMES PER SEC drawn on your comp screen by the gpu(graphics processor on the card) your PING is communication latency in milli secs..... i could have a 300 ping and still get the same fps i get with my normal 52ms ping....
  • ppl with high pings and high fps is a very unfair advantage , if u ask me anyone with more than like a 120 or 150 ping shouldn't be aloud to be in this game , it is like they have super armor or some thing

I have no idea why i qouted u
    there its gon ...lol

ya u got it. well sorta. fps is pretty much graphics
so if you want to get beter fps get a graphics card if your comp can use one, i have a nividia geforce 9400 GT with 1 GB
  • i have a fast internet but high ping :S
maybe because i live far away xD

"the best graphic card is Nvidia[/QUOTE]"

Negative lol... depends on model... bus speed... type of ram the gpu is using... so on.. so on.... for example i have ATI HD 2600 with 512 dedicated.. scores 5.1 gaming and 5.9 graphics with areo... my friend has a Nivida geforce whatever model number that's also 512 dedicated... his scores 5.0 gaming and 4.8 graphics with areo... i get up to 285fps in a game and he gets like max 150 lol... his average is 70 my average is 160fps... however nivida and ATI are the top 2 gpus and compete with eachother consently bringing out new cards:P

Also faster internet does make better ping but most important is how close u are to the server.. so if u want really low ping pack ur bags and move to canada with high speed near the servers lol :) and tbh theres like zero difference from 60-285fps lol... defiantly nothing after 100fps... least not with my 35 ping
  • Its actually worse having a high ping cause u get long ranged and u think u hit someone but u didnt, but i has a higj ping cause i live in Australia!
  • I played Crossfire on my dad's PC in Tennessee, which was running Windows 2000, and I had about 60 ping. 10 FPS, but 60 ping.
  • Actually having to high of an FPS can cause lag in a game. Most games are made to be played at 30-60 FPS though having a 100+ is nice its not always a good thing. This is especially true if it all of a sudden your FPS spikes high then really low.

Also just because you have a 100+ FPS does not mean your computer is able to render it all, it may only be able to do like 60FPS.

I believe the refresh rate of your monitor is the max FPS a sec that can be rendered but I cant remember exactly if thats true......

Having a fast ping is nice but if your computer cant handle it then its pointless.

your partially rite the the ping only lowers when u live near the server hosters like z8 i live in canada ontario and my ping is 9-13 so i think tey are in canada like subagames but my fps is low (i using laptop so i think its y graphics)
  • so wait, will more RAM help my ping out? if its normally 45 but shoots up to 300+?
