Game News
Official Statement regarding Illegal "private" copies of Cross Fire.
Love is in the air. Valentine's Day is approaching fast, but everyone's focus right now is on the new patch. When will it come? What will be in it? We can't give you the full details yet, but if you've been paying attention you'll know there is a New Mode! Hero Mode. It will be a variation of Mutation Mode. More fun actually, this editor has to say. You will get to play as a Hero with a modified weapon that includes a Grenade Launcher!
For those of you who might have been clever enough to catch a slip up (thanks Google you really did us proud) you might think you know more. But there is still more to come and what you saw was only the beginning.
But lets not ruin the surprise for everyone else please!
If you've also been watching, some news is starting to come out. Our Facebook page has started to drop some juicy screenshots. And we'll have some more reading material coming out on some CF Fansites later this week! Stay tuned for lots of stuff. Not only are we updating the game, we will be gearing up for a great 4-day event during this patch will which result in new Ribbons and Prizes for a lot of people.
Speaking of Ribbons, there will be a special Ribbon given out to those who really love Cross Fire and want to take cheap shots with their m12s at all the friends they love in the game! Read the Events section for more details!
We're gearing up, and information will be coming fast and furious so be sure to keep an eye out for the latest on this upcoming patch!
Special Update! - Rival Factions
This special issue of Urban Warfare contains a preview of the next Rival Factions story line! Yes, your favorite Black List and Global Risk leaders will be returning. This time with new stories, and even you, the player and fan will even get a chance to write episodes and stories for them! We will be simplifying the process for RF and making some other small changes. More information will come throughout the next few weeks.
Without Further ado, here is the first part of the new Global Risk Rival Factions Story!
Competitive Updates
Recently [GM]Saidin conducted an interview with -oL and WOGL, unfortunately there were some mishaps in the recording of it, however some of our users were smart enough to get it recorded. Check it out here.
Season 3 has been confirmed, with the same prize structure as Season 2. Which is gearing up for a tremendous finish. Season 3 will involve more player input for the rules and some changes in staff and structure. All of which will be for the positive! This editor can't wait to see what WOGL comes up with next.
Rumors are flying of various leagues getting set up and running. So while WOGL will remain our biggest paid cash league, there will be plenty of places to get your competitive fix and potential prizes can be offered there as well! Keep your eyes to the forums, especially the tournament section to see what comes up next! Maybe your clan is itching to be the next threat, or you're looking to be involved as an admin for one of these up and coming leagues. There's always something happening so make sure to watch for it!
Featured Website - Deluxe
This week we are featuring the clan website Deluxe.
Deluxe is a well known competitive team in EU gaming and they have competed in WOGL-EU and are among the top in the ESL Ladders. How do you compare to their team? Maybe you're looking for a new clan or just want to play with some highly skilled players. Check out their site and tell them what you think!
Events and Promotions
We're knee deep in films for the CFFA's. There are already some great editors who have submitted some awesome videos. And we've had to DQ a lot of entries because people haven't read the rules! Make sure to read the rules and determine whether your video can qualify for a prize. There are 12 Golden M4A1 Tigers to be won so keep those films coming!
Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend/Monday, and if you thought that now would be the perfect time to stock up on some ZP for the upcoming patch then you thought right! Valentine's day is all about thinking about your loved ones isn't it? Well we are, and to thank you for being a part of our game we'll be giving out a 7 day Heart Grenade to anyone who deposits ZP into their account this weekend.
And for those that really love Cross Fire, we'll be handing out a Ribbon to all accounts who log in to play the game on Monday February 14th. And you'll want to keep collecting those ribbons because the new ones coming out with the patch are going to include one you won't want to miss!
And this patch is going to be more than just an Update. It will be an event! Each day of the patch will involve challenges for you to participate in. Make sure you complete the challenges because there will be prizes at the end! We'll have more information on these special events as we approach the new Hero Mode!
February is not even half done and there's still so much to be involved in and check out so don't be shy. Step up and get into the game! Get ready for the new things

Any promotion on our forums/website/game will be considered a violation of the Terms of Use, Code of Conduct and Forum Rules and will be dealt with accordingly. This coffee tastes like crap. The winter sun pierced through the war room windows. Today was going to be a cold day Alex thought to himself.
It had only seemed like yesterday since the incidents that decimated his ranks, but Alex knew that it had been many months. Many months since the betrayal, many months since the deaths, many months since his arch enemy Ghost had.. It was too painful to think about it.
I must keep vigilant, he thought. We must prevail. His nemesis will show again and he had to be ready. There was a growing threat, one that hadn’t shown its true face yet, but Alex knew there could only be one person behind it......

Always seems like RF is like a bad soap opera though..
Well that's not necessarily a bad thing!
Soap Opera's can be highly addictive even if poorly acted! So we'll go with... compliment on that reply. Thanks!
PS There's some other factors that lend itself naturally to this kind of story telling though. All of which should be considered when its time for the fans to write their entry.
Creating characters and establishing personalities, scenes, missions etc within a very short individual time frame is among some of those things. -

Of course, my post was just an observation not a critique or anything as my opinion of the stories don't matter. -

I would like to participate in that fan writing stuff... ill need time to write and to read the story so that in the end i can show you a job that you'll throw to the trash cuz it sucks...
