But yes, CoD isn't what made FPS' and there's only a limited selection of weapons without making them up. So there's bound to be some that are similar in games.

That entirely depends on how the throwing knife works. If implemented properly, it could actually add to GM. If implemented bugged like the Shovel, or as ridiculously OPed as the knife in MW2, then yes, it would ruin it.

That would ruin all knife onnly games. If you could throw instead of stabbing, you not only get range, but pretty much guarenteed kills
