CrossFire at school; Firewall or Admin Rights?

Hi mateys,

this game is awesome! :D

After playing at home, I wanted to play it at school (LAN if possible), because at the moment there is a time, we often are allowed to play computer games in lessons (Where I live, school-year is divided in 2 "Semester", the first one will be over soon!)

At school (a classmate carried it over with his Flash-Drive) I wanted to start.

First of all (general question):
Are there any files, outside the game - folder, which get affected?

Second:
XTrap cancels at Step 4. I can't remember the Error.

Whats the problem?
Do I need Admin rights, or do I need to change the Firewall-settings?

How can I solve the problem?
Without getting the permition to change the FW-settings or to log in as an Admin?

Thank you mateys and squires,

Firewall settings at school is probably the problem.
And you probably don't have the right to make the game access the program files which is the problem
  • Thank you for your answer.

Am I right, there is no possibility to switch off the firewall, expect of asking the admin?
