Ventrilo problem

Hello everyone. Got a question. Is anyone else having problems with ventrilo locking up while in game. Im having users say it stops working while in game. Its happened to me a couple times but disconnecting and connecting again gets it working again. Mainly they cant talk in game, so I told the vista users to run as admin..that seemed to work for them for a while. Xp users are having it happen a little bit too in clan matches. Any ideas? Maybe I should change my server location?

I dont know much about ventrilo, but try looking for the answer in their FAQs.

Wierd, Ventrilo works perfectly fine for me...

Can you post what O.S they are using?

They are running 64bit vista and one running 32 xp home.

Oh I see, have you tried to run it as administrator?

Try to have the Vista Users run Ventrilo as Administrator and setup the keys (for e.g. push2talk) that they dont interfere with crossfire. Like when they use the left control key, they need to change it to something like left alt, coz the left control key is ingame the crouching key and when u start crossfire after Ventrilo, Crossfire overwrites the set keys of Ventrilo and u cant talk anymore.

If they just got the problem, that they cant talk anymore while playing Crossfire, that Solution should fix that problem

Thanks Dream, we tried that but and it had no effect. I did however get the vista guys to go to properties then comaptability mode then select adminstrator there....seems to work for them. Now for the PTT key....we dont use them and it seems to be going good. They just had to mess with sensitivity a little bit but good now. Thanks to everyone that posted.
