[NationalESL] Cross Fire 1v1 Cup Postponed
We would like to notify the Cross Fire community that certain events are going to be postponed for the future. This came recently as we have had a few technical issues arise during the testing of the National ESL site, and ESL Wire. The cup will resume on January 30th, 2011 of next Sunday. We promise to do our best to resolve all issues and have the events back as soon as possible. Meanwhile, signups for the 1v1 kickoff cup will still be open throughout the week...

Note: Depending on the amount of registrations, this cup may be as large as 64 players.

Yes.
There will be more events being announced in the future. In the meanwhile we will be hosting 1v1 cups (and other events), 1-3 per week. This way people can get used to the ESL website and the ESL Wire Client. It will make it more simple when we start ladders and leagues.
This will also give us the opportunity to find any errors and to fix them as soon as possible so that events in the future can be ran smoothly. -

What is this?
In the "Add gameaccount" page, what do I put for a value?
Just add your in-game name for Cross Fire to your game accounts.dRENNERRRR wrote: »1v1, lololool.

We have more events planned for the future which requires both players and teams. -

you Run it before the game and you need to have esl Signed in on Internet . then you Click Crossfire and it should detect youre on esl . then you click record . and at the end you click stop and wait for it to upload -

Actually NESL uses ESL Wire Anti-Cheat
When you have a match that is open and ready to play, you go to the play tab in ESL Wire, right click on the match you are about to play, and press run Cross Fire... The AC will automatically start, then it will start the game... login... play.. and when u close the game the AC will automatically turn off and open up a window where u can drag and drop SS' that will be uploaded straight to the site
after that is done the browser will open up and take you straight to your match page where you will have to enter the score and the other team will have to confirm that score is correct.
This is exactly why we are going to be doing 1v1 cups -

Actually, it is a very sophisticated Anti-Cheat. We will not share exactly how it works. Sorry. I Assure you, it does work though
My guess for the non-esl supported games question; I'd have to say no. -

I'm not sure if Nerd [Birdie] knows that there's already been a release on how the AC works (for the most part)...so it's not much of a secret. It scans [files & modifications], snapshots and monitors abnormal key combos and/or triggers [toggle]. It WILL pick up some of the most advanced files because it monitors all the way down to your physical hardware. Ring 0 is the heart of your CPU. The protein level you need the MOST privileges to access. So it scans on more than just an app and driver level, but it scans at the root/kernal.
On a side note; Shortly after it went into a public beta a bypass [2] surfaced, but released an update and the bypass hasn't since surfaced [publicly]. And to be honest- ....to bypass at a Ring 0 level is just far too much work, especially for an F2P game. Comparrison: WOGL > Cardboard -- Wire > Stone Blocks. -
