My friends are never online on buddylist...hmm

Yesterday while I was playing, I was surprised to see about 3 people on my friendslist in a game room. On my buddylist, they were shown as offline, but they were playing in a room....

Buddy server is still very unstable. These are list of problems I noticed when I was playing.


1. Many people are shown offline on buddylist even though they are online.

2. When I tried to delete people from my buddylist in a game room, the game always crashes (I tried about 5 times)

3. When I add a person in a game room, it never seems to work. I see the person who I just added offline, and that person sees me offline as well. However, when I add a person in a lobby, it works fine for some reason....

4. When I tried to whisper back to my friend just after I recieved a whisper, I can't seem to whisper back. Instead, I receive a message saying "uanble to whisper"


Did anyone experienced similar problems with buddyserver?

I would be saying no, but i think the buddy server is starting to mess up again mainly because i havent seen anyone on for 3 days. But i cant really say that is proof of the buddy server not working it could be that they are just offline.

That's exactly what I said. I see no one on the buddylist online, yet there are like 3-5 people actually playing. That's what the main problem is. Everything else are just minor problems

Shortly after i posted this the buddy server started showing i was online. but now my crossfire wont run AT ALL. GameGuard keeps popping up with error report you send the error report it says send failed, you find the email on faq site, email them and you get an automessage saying that the email adress doesnt exist fan flipping tastic. well back to combat arms *sighs*

lol buddylist been always buggyest in this game.. and sucked the most.. seems to be unfinished..

it sucks when you delete someone you are still on their list..
it should remove from their to.. thats a nice function..

Not that you delete somebody then after they still have you and see you change name and all.. :-p

I'm having the same problem for months. A temporary fix to the "unable to whisper" error is just to delete them from your friends list and then whisper them. I know it's strange, but it works for me.
No one is ever online in my friends list, but they are in the same clan, so that's no problem.

i haven't noticed that (nvr look at friends only clan lol) but you also cant whisper to a lot of people.. some whispers work but some people i cant whisper to ever and some cant whisper to me... even if they whisper to me.. and i do /r message.... no deal... if i type there name.. no deal... if i right click on them when there clearly online and talking in clan chat and i click whisper and talk... no deal... just says "unable to whisper"... been like this for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG time lol.

1. My friends are ALWAYS shown offline on buddylist. (but I know they're on cuz of xfire)

2. I have no trouble deleting people from buddylist.

3. Don't know about the lobby, but you might be right Anyways, you're right about the offline after add.

4. Yes this is true too. If your friend is shown offline on buddyserver then you cannot whisper him/her. So, if you delete him, you're able to whisper. Also, if his name (EXAMPLE) starts with a capital. Like, Henley64. Then you can whisper him if you type his name without capital: /w henley64. Not sure about the last one.. but probably right

For number 2, as I mentioned in OP, it only happens when you are in a game room. I have no problem deleting people in lobby. It seems like buddyserver is more unstable in game room than lobby because I had more problems dealing with buddylist in game room than lobby.

As for Mike...idk what to say..
