yes it lowers fps but not that great that fraps do. if u have non high end gaming pc. try it and look a difference instead of fraps. *..*

I have run fraps when Im playing and I notice a good drop in frame rate( even though I have Nvidia GeForce GT 240 graphics card) I once brought up Windows Task Manager while both were running and saw that they seemed to be competing for CPU
