To those that are going to start drafts..

I know sG has died and people have mixed feelings.

I know that I was the one person running drafts with 100+ people.

I know that the draft did not satisfy everyone.

But, I do believe that it went well without an anti-cheat, lack of staff, and the cry babies that caused trouble every week being tolerated.

But, I see these new drafts and spammers that want to start a "draft."

My best advice, if your actually going to hold a semi-decent draft with a showup of 100+ people, just wait.

The drafts posted here won't last, and will have a bad showup.

To run a draft in Cross Fire is hard.

p.s. to those that disliked sG...

atleast we provided some entertainment with drafts. Something>Nothing

    ur amazing saul.

by the way. you act like your so mature, but ur like a little kid.

sG blows anyhow, and there were other mods in sG to help out with the drafts, how are you saying that you are the only one?

also, if running a draft is hard, stop asking to do so, you suck at it anyways. you are the reason sG has alot of people hating it.

    face the truth son.

I didn't take a SS on my part.

But usually, there would be 18 teams.

    Do the math..
  • :)

Personally I Felt That If People Wanna Start Draft They Can Its Not Like Anyone Can Control Them About It. Even If It Dies Somepeople Gonna Get Fun Out Of That Draft. Even Draft Such As SG I Actually Liked It Cuz Its Fun Playing Against Players U Know And Players You Don't Know In A -No Hacker- Room :) In 5 V 5.

    Do the math..

    5 x 18 is USUALLY equal to 90.. not 100

I might need some confirmation on this in-depth mathematical equation..
  • I will this thread a +1. SAUL did a very good job with all of the drafts he ran. I had the honor of working with him and I have to say, he made the drafts more fun then serious. Good job Saul!!! Are there any more drafts coming up cause I may get back into playing some CF while I play CSS.

In your original post you clearly said that your PUGS had 100+ people in it. Isn't that a blatant lie? According to my mathematical calculations your 18 teams would produce 90 people, which means there would be 10 ringers. Now, why wouldn't you create more teams to accommodate these "ringers"?

Don't lie.. It makes you look dumb =/

    10 Ringers?

    Why 10?

The vent could hold 150 people.

Why wouldn't we make more teams?

    1. 20+ teams is an awful lot.
    2. Encourages people to come later than the "start time"
    3. Makes the "18 teams" increase it's "value"

Poor excuses to cover up your lie.

Also, basically what you are saying is that you would rather have people sit out and be bored during your "splendid" draft rather than play and have fun.

Value would be increased with more team because more teams would increase the competitive value of the draft. The more teams the better. The more teams, the lesser chance of winning, which means that actually winning brings more pride to the players.

Your drafts were absolutely embarrassing. They basically encouraged team stacking, and immaturity. I don't care about your "lack of staff"..

    1. It doesn't take more than 3 people to run a decent draft.
    2. It wouldn't matter how many people you had.. your stupidity would have still ruined the draft.

Just stop arguing with me. You will lose.

More teams wouldn't increase competition. I was aware of teamstacking and immaturity. More teams would increase the number of complaints, handling more people with lack of staff which would be utter chaos.

Before you say a draft is embarrassing, run one yourself with the regular CF Pug community. I'd like to see that attempt.

What you basically just said was that you were too lazy to allow more teams. You essentially just proved that you are the reason your pug was an absolute failure.

Give me the money for the vent and an anti-cheat and I would run a better draft than you by myself. You were an idiot for thinking that a decent draft would run without anti-cheat.

Atleast it was something for the community.

Nonetheless, an anti-cheat is recommended. Consider the factors in the draft.

You aren't considering yourself in MY shoes. I'm sitting here pointing out the flaws in this MORON's draft, and he continues to make up idiotic excuses.

Just take the nonconstructive criticism and peace out.. No one cares that your draft is dead.. ya know.. cuz it blewwww

The first Draft we had over 110 people. I didn't take a screen shot because its not something to gloat over. Just an accomplishment. The admins have RCON commands, not the users. RCON - Status.

If he's so dumb and it was a bad draft, why did 100+ people show up?
  • chubrub, you are making yourself look like an idiot. +1 to Saul
  • If he's so dumb and it was a bad draft, why did 100+ people show up?
100+ for the first draft doesn't prove anything about how good or bad it was. It just means 100+ people wanting to try it and the ruleset looked decent enough. What does matter is how many of those 100+ came back for the next few drafts.
