If you want to look at vietnam as kill death i think the US kill death ratio was 20.2+, we lost simply because the majority of the american public did not accept the war and was pressured to pull out of the conflict, and if you read anything about the korean war, they basically pushed north korea back and saved south korea, i consider that a victory. Afgan: poorly mismanaged by obama, he wouldn't know how to manage a war because he has no military background, same goes for Iraq

I'm not looking at the Vietnam war in terms of kill/death ratio; I'm looking at it in terms of American deaths compared to what the war accomplished--60,000 and nothing, respectively. The public has good reason to be suspicious of war; the Half the time, the U.S. tends to be more of a burden than a help in foreign affairs and loses more than anyone gains.

No armistice was ever signed between North and South Korea. It was more like, "we succeeded in holding our ground" than "we won"? I mean, I suppose you could say it's a "victory" in the sense of GR winning in SND? :D I just think that kind of victory is closer to a War of 1812 result than a pure victory, like the Gulf War. Yeah, it was nice of America to save South Korea's ass. Wonder if the same can be done this time around...

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have been mismanaged from the beginning; it's arguable whether we should have invaded in the first place, or at least whether we should have stayed this long.

you dunno what the dmz is do u
  • call it waht ever you want a "tactical retreat" it still means u got ur asses whooped, they would never win in vietnam unless they nuke the whole country or burn all the jungles there
and iraq and afghan is just a matter or time till they pull out. you just cant right people, who are willing to strap bombs on themselves to kill you, unless u can match that, the usa will never win against the "war on terror"
and the cold was wasnt even really a war
  • I cant really imagine surprise butt secks by China
