Billboards

I dont know if any of u have noticed the oversised billboards in game.

But i ask why are you advertising crossfire in crossfire?
to me this dont make no sense.
Why not use the billboards (annd maybe one of the screens on the game client) to advertise products in-game.

This was done in another free online fps called rising-eagle(dont know if you played it) wich was a pilot game for invasions interactive(i think)
were they advetised terminator:sarah connor chronicles on billboards

These billboards would play a sound file each respawn when you got withing say 5meters of the billboard e.g a narrator saying
"New series of terminator the sarah connor chronicles only on virgin"

this was a good way to advertise without interfiering with gameplay

I would think it would make sense for z8 to do something with those billboards to make a little extra cash to keep servers runnin

What do you guys think??

Do it and drop ZP costs :cool:
and make more new releases as GP
and u got a better game

imean to be fair i totally got the idea from the other game (tis gone now)

Ummm,,, NO.... the mappers dont need to put a object to block glitchers, they can just use invisible clipping objects...... are more creative building design. in game word all drawn objects are not all solid, and vice versa... ether the mapper got lazy and thru up some billboards... OR,, more likely they are intended for adverts. (which is what i think)

i think the billboard are to make adds when people screenshot ingame
and post em somewhere

Smile Gate are the people who make the cross Fire maps, They are going to fit their name anywhere they can... :P

someone contact them to see if they can promote their clan on one of those billboards. Maybe if you pay the right "price" lol.
