did i do something wrong?
SO! after several months of not reporting hackers (because i was increasingly frustrated with nothing getting done about it)
i send in a hack report via the support ticket system, (as is my understanding of how it is done now sence saidens mail box is always full) I included a replay, detailed info on what score was when player joined and at which scores he showed obvious wall hack. (following thru wall while scoped) and 2 screenshots...
report sent on the 8th, received reply on the 9th thanking me and telling me the matter would be looked into....
been watching the ban list, no dice so i check my media fire page and none of the files have been downloaded. ie... no one has even looked at them.
Did i do something wrong in reporting? i see people pop on the banlist nearly dayly. are you running on a week delay? i am sure there are many reports to go thru...... this is the main reason i stoped reporting last time, and thought things had changed....
Does any one who is out there that has reported hackers that then got banned have any idea if they are just so swamped that it takes weeks for it to get reviewd? i would like to know, mainly to have my faith in the system restored.

reporting system is sad, your want to believe in the system is sad, realising there are hackers in abundance after every patch is sad

god is not here today, priest. give up your faith, and let us fornicate -
Hum im not sure it will probly just take time, it's not like it just takes two seconds. but if u just sent in yesterday or something it mostlikely wont be done that day. you did all of the correct steps that you should do though so honestly you shouldnt even worry about it. i have repoted people that have been banned but i wasn't looking to see howlong it took. lol im just curious why you are watchingfor them to get banned, because u did your part and thats all you can do. just rember that they might not get banned too because if they believe that he doesn't hak then it wont happen.

yeah u call em saiden his name is saidin i see everyday diffrent names of this admin....yesterday his name was saidan..... that's disrepectfull :D -

you have not had my experiance.. Back in the suba days i reported speed hackers and invisi hackers,, all with replays and screen shots, and all correct information. checked about 2 weeks after reports and all were still active and not on ban list. i check about 3 weeks ago, which would be a month or 2 after reports and they were still not banned.. (and some of the replays had even been downloaded) so in those cases there was no chance they did not hack... in this instance it could be argued that the player in question 9 out of 10 times prescoped his shots and just happened to follow other players nametags thru the wall by chance... but it would be stretch.
and icly... ID love to send it straight to saidin. but as stated in my post, every time i try to pm him it says his inbox is full....... the support ticket system has a option specific for reporting "complaints/hacking" so i only assumed this is what was to be done. -
I do apologize for my inbox being full for the last couple of weeks.. There was a long weekend here last weekend and my inbox filled up. And I've been away on personal things during the weekends (I do need SOME time away!). So sometimes my inbox can fill up pretty quickly.
But we're back into a much better routine now for banning hackers and taking a look into reports. I can't always guarantee they will get taken care of right away, but they will be looked at.
This is yet another case of a player spending more time watching a ban list than anything else. A lot of companies out there don't make their ban lists public. And I can certainly see why. This is yet another reply that indicates that we should take the list down.
Report the players and trust that they will get reviewed. But also realize that every report sent in sometimes isn't always going to result in a ban, or a ban that shows up on the list. -
Thank you for the reply saiden. it is much appreciated.
the only reason i look at ban list at all was to look for validation that it was indeed worth my time to send a report in..I do not think this is unreasonable. This is the first game i have ever played that has a public ban list, and by making it public i assumed Z8 was wanting us to look at it to see the fruits of our hack reporting labor.
that being said, i can see your point of how anoying it is to have us complaining about our
reports not getting dealt with and not showing up on the ban list. -

No spamming in the forums please. Also I think the Public Ban is good because we can the people who were banned and we can take some satisfaction from thinking that we helped banning at least someone and helping out the community by getting rid of h4ckers -
fuzzy wuzzy wuz a bear fuzzy wuzzy had no hair fuzzy wuzzy wasnt fuzzy wuz he.
this is the understanding i get when i read the gm''s post. EXCEPT!
now they want to take the only real justification we have for even wasting our time policing the game they get paid to do
make us go through all this reporting crap thats more waste of time than anything.
why is gm inbox so full??? prolly cuz this game is filled with hackers....
all this would be so much easier and less of a headache for everyone playing and managing it if the they crap can gameguard and give us a real friggin anti-hack that actually gets patched more than once a millenium..(instead of a dumb renaming of a file)<---- even the uber noobs figured that out
Please, really, quit with the stupid halloween crap map, quit with crap mp-5 halloween crap gun, quit with crap zp items, crap heart grenades, crap crap crap crap, do something that will actually make a friggin difference and show the community you actually care about the community and not the hackers that have ruined this game the last 2 months and get them the he*) out
I THINK I CAN SPEAK FOR ALL THE LEGITS PLAYERS WHO BUY ZP AND LIKE THIS GAME!!!!!
WE CAN DO WITHOUT A MAP,WE CAN DO WITHOUT A NEW GUN, WE CAN DO WITHOUT NEW ZP ITEMS......WE CAN DO WITHOUT HACKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that should be NUMBER ONE PRIORITY OF ALL!!!!!!!!!
they are the biggest reason alot of people left, are leaving or dont even want to play
i know many friends i ask to come here to play with me and they tell me "hell no, that game filled with hackers man"
What really makes me angry, is they make a tournament knowing the game is filled with hackers atm, patch the game in the middle of the tourney, and DONT PATCH the friggin anti-hack???? mahahahhaaha wth...... reward the cheaters??? really??? is that how we do things nowadays?
Im glad i didnt waste any ZP on that failure.
