eXreaL Review for CF's Halloween Patch

Hello,looks like we got another patch..Halloween style.

New Map - Halloween
Personally the new map is a great addition to the game,as many EM player's didn't get very many maps to play with.
The theme is perfect for this time of October,which Halloween is coming up.
It really follows the fast pace we love so much,so no complaints about it so far.

New Gun - Type 89
Now,I haven't had a chance to try it,but I hear from some that they hate it.
I wanna hear your reviews about so I can post here what I've learned.

New Gun Sounds!
In this patch,the Ak-47,Desert Eagle,P228,and AWM have a different sound.

Ak-47 - Basicly a more clear trebled tone to it.
Desert Eagle - The sound from CF china,a louder clear sound.
P228 - Completely revised sound,check it out for yourself.
AWM - Same sound,but less echo at the end of the shot.


Black Market - Halloween Masks,Name Cards,Halloween Mp5,Pumpkin Head,and Witch Hat.
In time for the holidays,it looks like CF will bring event items into the BM.
The advantage though is that these items are much easier to win than the rare guns,so go and grab your treats.

New Grenades - Doll Grenade and Pumpkin Grenade
Basic grenade,just like the heart grenade,which has a wider range of explosion,but the Halloween grenades carry a special effect when they are blown up.

ZP items are now viewable.
ZP items can now be viewed without the message "cannot purchase multiple zp item"

Crossfire Theme - Loading Screen,Lobby Layout
Loving it,it really releases the spirit while you play,nice job Z8.


All in all,a nice little patch,fast one too considering the last one was not but just a few weeks ago,keep 'em coming Z8.

Type 89 is pretty good actually, i got to use it a bit and it felt a lot like the kriss in a rifle's body. :P
AWM sounds horrible now, it sounds...weak.

Interesting,I'm half and half about buying the type 89.
AWM sound does sound weaker huh? Not the long echoed powerful boom anymore.

What? Somebody hate the Type89? When i tried it i was just whatta hell it killed so freaking fast! I think its the best gun in the game and im gonna buy some GP to get it.

whoaa.. It's accurate, and has fast firing rate. But it's weak and doesn't make up for it imo. I would argue that it's not the best gun in the game.

i wouldnt say the type 89 is the best gun in the game, some would even still choose scar over it.

i personally, love it. i bought it once i seen it, because i needed a new gun, and i was shakey at first, but wow, i did rather good with it today. the recoil was weird last night, but tonight it worked wonders. hs machine even when body shooting. pretty fast reload.
i have mp5 adv for 60 more days and ak camo for 20, and i sorta dont even wanna use them.

i like the new map, except i die from falling.. alot xD. and, i dont really see a huge variety of guns. they also need to put maybe 1 more sniper rifle in beginning. glad to see g36k in there though.

i want the iron horron mask, or the trojan thing. i have the vampire, clown, and witch hat, and the vamp and clown seem big. but other than that, nice addition.

all in all it is a great update, shouldnt be too many complaints.

Type 89

For players that do not have access to a M4A1-C or M4A1-Adv this is a great option for a solid rifle that produces little noise while firing. While it lacks the pericing strength of the M4A1 series it is a solid all round rifle. The main downside is of course the heavy weight making it less the ideal for rushing.

While I do not see this gun replacing the M4A1 it is a viable weapon that will be interesting to see how players use it to preform with in scrims/tournaments.

I never liked the m4 in this game for some reason, I bought the type 89 lastnight and played with it for a few hours, heres my take on it.

fast firing rate, slow reload, great mid and close range, seems to lose its punch at longer ranges to me, recoil is moderate, and easily controlled once you learn it, it seems to headshot all by itself... good solid gun, wish it was a little lighter and reloaded faster, a pistol is a must with this gun...

I think the firing rate feels slow because it is silenced (sorta) and the reload is like...scar heavy... LOL

this is a sweet litle patch. the new em holloween map is cool. but i dont care for then new black market iteams that much. and they new guy( type 89) isn't half bad. even though i still prefer scarlite.

i used the Type 89 And its good for far range, but the slow reload is bad for close combat. I still like my k2 over it tho . Also the new map is rediculesly awesome. I think the Christmas Map that is suppose to come out actually ahs the same layout, but instead of the skulls there is the Santa face and instead of the coffins there are presents xD, and the black market new stuff is good when uget it for ZP but i hate the new GP crate. All in All the patch is awesome.
