Failed to download patch file!!!

When I try to patch my Crossfire i keep getting an error when it gets to about 31% say "Failed to Download Patch File". Ive tried like 20 times and still get the same error. I cleaned my disks twice and when i tried to reinstall it. it says the setup files are corrupt. HELP PLEASE!

i would suggest when u unistall <now when u unistall make sure u delete everything go into the program files and delte everything associated with CF and Z8> then after u do that empty recycle bin, then do a disk clean up and then do a spyware/virus scan then restart your pc, then go and re DL i suggest from mirror 3 hasnt never failed me yet

i had the same prob...solution: got the bittorrent downloader, downloaded it from the homepage mirror (z8games)...no probs. might have to run it once or twice...but it should work. the patch shut down on me as well, but run crossfire again and just hit start. you may have to do this a couple of times, but it will work. also found out that you might have to modify your firewall settings and even check the proprties of the crossfire file. i had to unblock mine. if all else fails...download it from cge. a lot of ppl are complaining about the corrupted downloads, but it may have something to do with the virus scanner when the download is complete. oh, and make sure you uninstall EVERYTHING when you try to install it again. i had to download it 5x (!) before i realized between the settings and the compatability issues what was wrong. hope this helps!
