On a scale from 1 to 10, how well will this headset help me in GM?

Playing GM with surround sounds is cr@p. I know it from my own experience. This game is meant to be stereo and forcing surround messes the things up. You may play S&D etc. but not GM.

I have KDR 1.8 with no headset and most of the times with sound off. What do you try to achieve? As I said before. Using headset in ghost mode is lame.

It's lame dude, seriously. Look at this idiot farmer. I was playing with my sound off and listening to one of my favorite blues podcasts. All game he called me noob, hack, waller and challanged me to a 3vs3 match. The idiot can't play 1 vs 1.



And I also got kicked.

Those are one aweesome headset, but I would only buy it if your going to use it on your PS3 a lot.

wen i play gm without head phones my average score in a 5 round game is 6/3.
when i have headphones my average score is about 12/2.
headphones help alot. just listen to breathing. and running, the ghost swinging his axe or knife. and u got a kill. then u get called hack.er but its easy to pinpoint.

I've had a pair of trittons before... they broke within a year... first the bottom left wouldn't work (the bottom left driver) on the left ear, then they all just went out one by one till the whole headphone just broke apart...

Your better off at that price to get a good pair of headphones by a reputable brand then to buy something from a brand that markets to gamers (aka gimmicky headphones). I've found through personal experience your better off buying something bland and from one of the top brands then to get something that is "built for gamers".

they are open cupped headphones which should give you better sound staging then (aka you can pinpoint better) then closed cupped headphones like the trittons you linked to. These headphones are built to last.

For a mic, I find these aren't bad, we have someone in our clan using one of these and they come out fairly clear... all it does is attach to your cord.

i have a bose headphone... forgot product number right now!
it's $350 tag price...
it need battery recharge, which take 2 minutes of charge, n works for days..
sound very nice... i can hear ghost around me..
but can't really tell under or up sometimes... shame..

I use Turtle Beach PX21s for my PS3 and for CF and they work like a charm.
They're cheaper on amazon then from Turtle Beach too

Short and Simple

Don't waste your money on anything that has to do with GM
Reason:
1.KICK 75% of the time
2.EXPENSIVE, Could pick the wrong one
3.Isn't ZP already enough?

other reasons fell into the 1st category.
Quote me if you want, im not a GM expert or a fan of GM just my pure thoughts

People flaming me for the money issue:

1: they are only 130 dollars, and my parents are getting them for me.
2: I asked for these because they were recommended to me by a friend irl
3: when asking for these, I was thinking more of ps3 then crossfire
