I've said it before and I'll say it again: problems are not necessarily as easy to fix as many people assume. This issue does not affect everyone, so it's not immediately obvious what the cause of the problem is. The cause of the issue needs to be pinned down before they are able to make any attempt to fix it.
You will all need to be patient and wait for a fix. I'm affected by this myself, yet you don't see me posting complaint after complaint about it. Rest assured the problem will be corrected as soon as possible.
I have now merged three separate threads about this issue. Please limit discussion of this problem to this thread only. -
I'm having the same problem as well on my laptop. I'm not sure if it matters, but on my computer (that isn't a laptop) I can join a game and play (though quite a few times I get disconnected and the games stops on it's own and shuts down).
On my laptop it says 'connecting to room' but it freezes. I've played Crossfire on this laptop before and have had no problems.
I hope this issue can be resolved quickly. Life without CF, is no life at all (and uni starts soon).

so if it only affect only some people u dont care as much as it would affect everyone -
any1 else had the issue been able to play then gone off the game to go do something else come back to play and the problem happens again?

The staff is aware of the issue and they ARE working on it, but the cause of the problem is not immediately obvious. When there is updated information there will be a posted announcement. In the meantime complaining about the issue is not going to get it fixed any faster.

Cross fire problem
well i have the same problem abouth the freeze in the room
WEll i have the same problem but i fixed but for 1 day only whith these
1 first i delate cross fire game and then the two default CF Folders that are left on your drive. located in 'Program Files/SubaGames/CrossFire/' and the other is in 'Documents/Cross Fire/'
(repleys folders)
2 next i download the lates version of crossfire CrossFire_Setup_v1027
3 next i go to contro pannel then microsoft fire wall and i put able the program CrossFire_Setup_v1027 exe
4 i close my antivirus and spyware and then install the game
5 and the final step i change the location of the game Choose a new directory/subpath/drive when installing the game.
dont install the game in programs files
choose another part to save the game
and fixed no more freeze problem about rooms joining ^^ for a day

Crossproblem
well i scan my pc whith norton las version also check spywares i use spybot also malwarebyts and super spybots and i have the same problem yo uare right about scanning but i think that these problem is not about troyans it about CROSS SERVER

i thought so to but i used avg and i prayed it worked and it did not saying urs is the same but it worked for me bro i was getting really irratated with it and i bout reinstalled but i tried avg man
oh i got malware but it wont detect most trojan i used it before i did avg and it seen natta
