Why do people say "don't use my gun"?

Well, the way I see it the weapons you bought for yourself are your virtual property, if you want said gun, buy one yourself. That's what I think when I'm using my good guns if you steal my Famas, you can have it
The thing is, for all intents and purposes you stole someone's virtual property, after killing them and probablly T Bagging them. That's enough to annoy anyone.

It doesnt matter. Theyre obviously just being little kids about it. Bear in mind, not all of us that play this game are..so called.."mature" lul. There are the people out there that will Hackusation you if you kill them, and then whine if you take their gun. Just ignore them and keep moving forward. The game was designed to be able to try other peoples guns on a whim...if you can kill them ^_^. -

well i dont think thats what they had in mind when they made it where u can pick up guns , i think the reason behind it is for when u run out of amo . I only pick up someones gun when i run out of amo out of respect.
I dont care if the pick mine up , i mean u cant rally do anything bout it any ways , but if u want a gd gun u really should go buy one.
It would be so funny if the made an item u could buy that made it where no one could pick up ur gun , all the nubs would be looking for it after they kill you or they could make it where u still drop it but they cant pick it up then they would lose there gun and they would be running back and forth trying to figure out why they cant pick it up then BAM there KIA..lol -

yeah... i agree with u.. -
When you die, you cease to own. So it's not your virtual property anymore. Stop dying to stop people using "your" gun.
People mostly QQ about taking their guns because they spent **** lots of money to get it
So, stop dying and they wont be able to take your gun. -

oh i know this happened to me for the first time today i was trading my shotty for scarl and this nub without a main gun to my shotty and then dude grabbed his scarL back real quick so i was stuck with just my deagle in ghost i did ok but man was i ****ed -
Two things I gotta say:
1) I don't usually mind if others take my gun when I die, the clips are always empty xD.
2) noobs trying to take your gun could be annoying, especially when you are sniping and a noob comes along and stand right next to you so when you fired a shot and then take cover, he blocks your way... resulting in your death... And the worst is when a noob (on the same team) throws a nade at you when you are sniping... OMG -

i do this aswell it is funny.
i broke my m4 custom and just swapped it with noobs and they think it posesses goldy powers so they charge in there with a gun spraying everywhere and fail miserably, they come back QQing and i just say you wanted it -
Sundos has some really good points on this issue, I agree with em. Me? I couldn't give a rip, because one: it does not damage the gun from what I've seen, two: you just killed another player via "owning" him in combat, thus you own his gun (logically if you want to argue about "honor and respect"), three: anyone whining about this is an immature moron honestly, I'll explain it further: Yes, being able to pick up someone's gun was intended namely for the person because she ran out of ammo. It also turns out to be great for "griefing" QQing players and enemies. Who cares? Only the player who's immature will QQ. Of course, there's also the chance they will QQ if you are succeeding at ****ing them off.
Anyways, if you had a choice between your own gun and a much better gun, wouldn't you choose the other so as to gain an advantage? Honor or respect have nothing to do with it, it's a game; if you can gain an advantage by using something, then you use it. People who argue against this shouldn't then use ZP guns or items following the same logic. On another note the last I checked, you can pick up ZP guns(?).
I'm glad the OP posted this up. It's very good question with a bunch of responses which are based upon someones emotion "B-But that dude stole my gun, WHAAAAAAAAA!"
Stop QQing, suck it up, and laugh as the guy probably doesn't know how to use your gun. You don't see peeps whining in CS or CoD series about this. It's a free game anyways, so if ever someone had to actually pay for damage done to his gun when used by someone else you shouldn't whine about it. Secondly, they will at most use maybe one or two clips of the gun, which adds up to maybe 30GP of repairs for the average gun, maybe 50GP. If you have enough ammo left over that he goes through all of your magazines then that's probably the reason you died in the first place, you didn't try shooting the enemy. And I don't care for the excuse of "I'm accurate, I only use blablabla shots to kill a player." You shouldn't die in the first place in all likelyness if you are so "accurate" or capable of a player.
Anyways, I do this all the time, especially with a certain friend of mine who owns a Kriss. But it's mutual joking. Yes, I do follow him around the map sometimes, but neither of us typically die because I'm being annoying because we both own in GM to the point we can screw around most of the time. I only get serious if there is an opponent who is actually a danger, not some newbie or inexperienced BL player who gets gets a random knife kill on you here and there. I do it with my friend just to playfully joke around. It isn't the same as when someone you don't know does it admittedly.
The QQing player always has EM and GM modes they can play where they don't have to worry about this being an "issue."
As to all the n00bs following you around for your gun in GM mode, well, that can be admittedly annoying because that causes issues with hearing ghosts (Especially if the n00b sprays). So use it as a tactic. Use the n00b as a distraction or bait. I've gotten kill streaks before as ghosts come after an ignorant newbie and I'm "camping" him. It works, try it out. Secondly, let them use your gun if you want to when you are alive (If you're dead then who cares, you're dead and they may actually get some benefit from your gun). An M16 can just as easily kill a ghost in the right hands as a Scar L or XM1014. They may want to try out different guns, just to see if they do better with them. If you are not a new player then you shouldn't worry about this at all. Use it to your advantage.
When people throw nades at you who are on your own team just because of this reason, then yea, it is definantly annoying. But they're n00bs for a reason. As to people trading guns, I definantly see that as being an issue to, but don't do it at spawn and then whine about another n00b taking your gun. They see a chance, they'll do something stupid and rude, because they are (guess what?) n00bs.
Picking up someone else's gun is just a big fuss due to ego's getting involved over something trivial and stupid. The function to be able to do this is built into the game. So it technically cannot be considered gun stealing except during a swap between two players and a third party steals the gun(s).
Anyways, it's just a game, so what's the point? Should anyone really care? QQing over something like this show's that individual's need to get a life. Problem solved.
My only apologies is for the long, thought out post. Well, not really.
Respectfully,
