OMG WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THAT!

"Music must be up to date and in style. Rap, Hip Hop, etc."

    GTFO HERE.

    Let's try that again...

"Music must be up to date and in style. Dubstep, Drum & Bass, etc."

    Thank you.
  • I'm an amateur DJ(DJ for fun at parties) and I specialise in mashups of POP-house-electro-trance. I also started scratching. But I'd be avaible scarcely.

Edit: and I deff wont be playing any Hiphop/Rap. I'm sorry but it's just too borring to mix not to mention it sounds absolutely ridiculous in a House-electro mashup

Hip/Hop is just too boring to mix comparing to pop house electro trance ? You must be joking le gros.

Hip/Hop switches instruments/vocals patterns every 16 beats comparing to pop @ 32 beats. Go take a look @ house/electro/trance djs mixing on ableton live or traktor pro. Lots of premade mix and intro/outro transitions ; they pretty much are producers and want to have some fun during the parties while getting drunk.

Hip Hop djs on their side (relating to real LP12s scratchers) are active and always transitioning back and forth.

Plus, electro includes hip hop (especially mashups). Check out Vodka and Milk [ http://soundcloud.com/vodkandmilk/sets/vodka-milk-tunes/ ] and you might want to reconsider mixing hip/hop in a non-ridiculous way during an electro tempo.

But I love non-pop electro so keep on doing what you do.

Check this out, I post/webmaster on that website under the same name www.otsotm.com

See you in echo 8 hoe.

Are you form Montreal bro? "le gros"
anyways, I have absolutely no experience with Hip Hop at all and I know about the 16/32 beat advantage. But look, I'm just a newbie to this. I do with what I have and I don't have time to look up latest mixing trends and new house tracks that come out everyday.

I guess that makes me a real noob, but I can pull off some pretty good POP-House/Electro.

Been really getting into trance lately though but only real music lovers appreciate that. :)

Thought you would of understand with "le gros" that I am from Montreal ;)

I wasn't ditching your mixing style at all ; never heard. Was just saying my two cent.

Calling trance lovers the "only real music lovers" is a dangerous path to go. I still love it but most of the listeners are there for the brain **** this music provides on e and speed.

You should hop on our qc vent next time I see you in-game and mix some stuff.
(See how I just smoothly stole your DJ?)

@sGDavid , bro you could also just hook your vent with an internet radio

Oh lol, I ddnt insult people who dont listen to trance. I'm just saying that it takes some time to really appreciate trance as a music and not as a sonic trum lol :P. Coz most people, i suppos listen to pop and mayB house/elec, and their initial reactions to Trance is negative :P

If you know how to set that up, let me know! Haha.

Yea, I could help set it up but i prolly wont be able to mix for you guys. You should just, like jesus suggested, hook it up to live radio or search for DJs that stream during your times.

And it just seems trance fans are more loyal, more commited to the music they love. Ya know? :/

Well hop onto the Public Ventrilo. We can talk more.
  • Djing a ventrilo=taking requests and using popular new music played through winamp and VAC onto the ventrilo.nothing needs to be "mixed" or anything.
