Uhh. Im pretty specific, the game doesnt appear, after the patch check has been done..

Have you tried to run the game as admin? Or under some compatible mode if you are using Vista or W7?
If this doesnt help you, you can try to turn your firewall off.
If game still doesnt appear, massive cleaning of your computer would be usefull
