Closing CrossFire causes issues...

so i have been playing crossfire for a few days now and everytime i close crossfire after i'm done playing, i'm unable to open any programs or folders, and i'm not even able to open task manager. I have to fully shutdown my computer and turn it back on in order for me to be able to open otherprograms. I know this issue is only with crossfire because i play many other games and there were no problems. Is there a solution to why this is happening when i exit crossfire? I'm running windows xp

maybe ur pc is not good for cf.
or ur pc is to hot when u finished crossfire.
or u can right-click crossfire-properties-compatibility-check box Run this program in compatibily mode for-Windows XP(Service Pack 2)



i had xp before.but now i have Vista it maybe can't work but it can work too.

um... i don't think so... and my pc is never too hot for anything i leave my pc on all year long and not being able to open files or programs has nothign tod o wiht my pc being overheated... i still think its something from crossfire thats causing that.. .and my pc is good enough for crossfire the minimum req is only p4 2.0? or smoething i haev a way better computer with hell lots of ram to support this program

bump.... any tech support gms wanna pitch in on this? i tried searching on google but that person thought that it had to do with kaspersky Internet security but i tried it today without the program running .. so gms help

Same Problem...

I have the same problem Months ago, im runing XP too, all same problem, im open Task Manager before close CrossFire, and i look a program of GameGuard, is GameGuard.des, when GameGuard.des close, u cant open any program...

And i have a Core 2 Quad 2.5GHz, 4GM Ram, 512MB 9600GT GeForce Nvidia and 750Gb HD

But this problem is only in XP, now im using VIsta, and not have this problem, im dont know why xD

But in Vist work Correctly

thats really weird ... i really think it has to do with gamemon.des. and i think it also has to do with that crossfire.exe file i believe in the crossfire folder. i tried to open that file and then after the gameguard popped up and the game didn't open i wasn't able to open anything... and it gets really annoying having to restart computer after i'm done for the day because my computer rarely ever restarts unless ineed to for patches and updates.

Make sure your computer is within Compatibility Mode.
(Right-Click the Program > Check the compatiblity you wish).
