CTRL+ALT+DELETE+End task for "patcher_cf". It kept running when the servers were down and now that they're up, u'll need to end that previous patch attempt.
LE: Fail patch is fail. Even though I don't get the "Patcher is already running." error anymore, the patcher_cf process still does NOTHING. -
Yup, wdf is wrong wif my patcher_cf.exe!!?! it says running on my freakin task mannager, but its showing nothing on my screen, besides, its not doing crap because the internet flow monitor says that the program is connnected to the updating IP, server, but did not receive information nor my patcher sending out information, its just stayed at 0/0....OMG, GM if u will be so pleased, gosh, help me real quick, this is wasting my time.
AND GMS, PLS NOTE THAT I HAVE ALREADY TRIED WAYS BELOW:
1. RESTART COMPUTER, SAME PROBLEM
2. REDOWNLOADING THE CILENT, AND INSTALL, SAME PROBLEM
3. REINSTALL THE 1051 CILENT, AND STILL DOESNT WORK!
4. ENDED THE PATCHER_CF.EXE SERVERAL TIMES AND OPENS, DOESN'T WORK.
5. ASKING FOR HELP FROM GMS (STILL PENDING) -
I'm having the same problem, I would guess its because the servers are down!!
Nope-My friends in vent--a few--were able to patch and play just fine.....others like us-not so lucky.
I have tried a few different ways, ie:run as admin/end process/restart/etc etc...Still trying.
Since the error code reads as the version.ini was unable to download, maybe someone that it didnt effect could send that file from their CF directory and one might try replacing it with theirs. worth a try, id get my clan mate to do it, but he jumped off vent...Or just have someone go through their files and send the ones changed/updates to those having problems. -

Update:
I've uninstalled and re-downloaded and reinstalled twice now. Still nothing at all for me, it shows Patcher_cf.exe in my processes but nothing comes up on the screen, no HGW, no progress bars. Nothing. This is definitely getting annoying now, and help would be greatly appreciated. -
I have the same problem this is what I have tried,
Uninstalled CF, Deleted Z8folder from c:\program files, removed CF folders from my documents. Turned off Windows UAC, Turned Off firewall, Removed Antivirus, Used CCleaner to remove any remaining redundant registry entries. Shutdown and restarted pc. then reinstalled CF still the same issue remains. I have the same problem on my laptop too. -

Failed to downloading version.ini.
now fixed or ?? Any on an idear to fix this Problem ?
1. I have Restart Computer ( nothing )
2. Reinstall Game ( nothing )
3. Kopie the Game Folder from a friend how can playing ( NOTHING )
so any on can help me what I can NOW do ???!!!
