Crosshairs

I'm trying to find the file for crosshairs. I want to edit the first one to shrink it down.
Probably to the equivalent of cl_crosshairscale 3500 or so. Anyone got one like that or know where the file is?

Edit: I found it, never mind the part about locating it. If someone has edited one already, share please. >_<

Edit again: Halp! How do I get it to actually work in-game now? Saved the files and such, but it goes to the default.

I would assume so, as it doesn't affect the way the bullets recoil or spread.

Its not legal.


Crosshair files are packed away in the .rez stuffs.

So unless you've got the proper program to get in there, no dice.

And if you do, hook it up.

Its not? Wow. Want to buy new crosshairs please. How come I can't even change the way they look in the options, if not actually in game?

You can change the type and color.


Personally, myself and a lot of players use the Circle one. It expands the least.

All I want is a damn crosshair that doesn't suck ma balls. And no, I dislike the circle even though it opens up less. Something about it just screams 'bad'.

It's fine. Headshots are easy with default.

Its not 'fine'. Headshots are apperently easier with 'C' by the way. As for actually shooting, I can almost guarantee that I can shoot better than you even without a crosshair.
The point is, I want one similar to the way I set mine up in Cs:s. Not one where if you are far away the crosshair engulfs the entire body.

I use the defualt at the moment.

you've actually got a point, when its long range it covers or engulfs the guys body
