Why they place the new server in uk??
I think they should place the New Server in the center of Europa
[France, Germany or Poland] so all have better Ping.... UK is outside from the General Europa and so the ping is higher for everyone outside of UK!
If someone connects from Italy he still will have high Ping...

Spain is not cheaper xD and its not in Center of Europa, and in Spain the max. Internetspeed is 6GB/s in Germany and France 8GB/s

best servers are NL, so i think, the best ping for EVERYONE from EU would be of they place it in netherlands...thats my opinion:) anyway, ENG is international language, and we have year 2009..so? what does a english speaking country matter?...wake up guys

Probably because it's right in the middle. You know what UTC is based off?
As somebody said, this is 2009, and hence a server's location is no longer a leading important factor in your latency to it.

Hey well, Germany to UK is much closer than Germany to Canada lol. Ping will still decrease drastically.
Hopefully, I'll get around 100 ping, maybe hit the two-digit mark. My current ping lays around 160-170. I'm in Malta BTW.

And english is a World Wide spoken language... i think 50% or more of germany / europs speaks English and the server is a machine not a human -
Germany is getts a new system of internet connection... in the moment it only exists in big german citys and its much faster than the normal way 2 connect with the WWW
But in the moment it only helps if u go on a server whos in your city they are not longer counting with miliseconds (ms) now its microseconds
Problems: really expensive and doesnt work for normal people/systems... -

a connection from europe to america has to travel under the ocean rather than underground etc.
it will always be quicker across ground then through water

but since this is a game for players who speak English.. I think they are trying to be more fair to them by putting it in england -
