Would love to hear how that goes. 5 or 7 round half games.

People actually read barracks?
My bad, I thought that was just for the kids crying about BR's and asking for a new patch.
Lock thread =( -

I wanted to start casting games and putting them onto youtube and with a 15 minutes cap on videos 9 rounds is way too long.
Obviously as a player I also prefer shorter games and it allows for more games with other teams, or rematches on different maps.
I find that games going 9-8 both halves can be very tedious, especially with one team going "xanax-style".
However I played a 8-9 9-7 game vs LPK (like 2 months ago) which was extremely long yet also the funniest scrim I've had in this game so... it just depends I suppose. -

yeah 7 sounds just about right.
also, listen to doop hes got a point just do it like 2 vids per half, because they can watch them all linked together on youtube so..
it would depend on though how slow the teams plan on playing lol -
I don't see a point in this unless WOGL plans on changing their rules and making their matches 5 or 7 rounds a side.
That is of course unless you all plan on attending the next WEM event?
If you're playing 9 rounds in a league, you should practice 9 rounds in scrims.
Just sayin'.... -
Unless WOGL changes it no point, cause for example with only 5 round halves you have to change your play style drastically.
yes point. Get everybody playing that way and if they don't change it they're stupid. They already base most of their decisions regarding weapons on appeasing the public, why should this one be any different? -

They discuss it beforehand, and ask the opinion of the public audience. Most of them want a extremely simple/strict set of rules (check the WEM rules), but they have not been able to do so as of yet. I'm sure that WOGL will update the rules for next season if it is possible.
If a mass amount of people decide to stick to playing at 7 rounds per half, then it will make it that much faster for WOGL to change it's rules. The opinions of people, and the experience from the staff, are what changed the rule sets from the tournament rules, to the season one rules, to the rules that season two now has.
Then again, I haven't really been active in this community, I don't know whats up. Doesn't seem like there have been any big changes since the first tournament, people still swap teams every week and the top teams are still the top teams. I would be surprised if the demand for 5/7 round halves ever goes up. -

On the last vote that WOGL had regarding the issue, Bobby was the only one who voted in support of the stricter weapons list.
How do I know this? He posted saying so. -

I don't recall anyone asking about boosting, correct me if I'm wrong.
The attempt was made at making a strict weapon set like WEM and only one "vote" passed. (There was only what...maybe 4 people on staff at the time?)
