Mutation Week
This week marks our celebration, or our hatred, for Mutants and Mutation Mode! We are mid-week now and ramping up to the more significant events. Did you get your wide grenade yet? If not, you'll be able to get a chance to get them tomorrow.
Tomorrow will give you the chance to get a special temporary version of the M60 Adv as well as the wide grenade! If you play in 25 or more Mutation Games by the end of tomorrow you can expect to have these items ready to go for the weekends EXP Event.
We were going to give away some items via our Social Media outlets today, but a Mutant infected our tech department and we are held up in the storage room in the office. Once we get out we'll make sure to deliver the goods to you all through Facebook, Twitter and Xfire! And since you managed to get this message the first 200 readers here will get a 7 day dread for free! Make sure to tell your friends more things are coming but we must defend against the Mutants first!
Friday will also bring back Bonus Crates! We gave away M4A1 Custom Crystals on the first ever Cross Fire Bonus Crate for Halloween. For Mutation Week we are giving away mutation items! (go figure!!). From Friday through until Sunday if you win the Gatling Gun, M60 Adv or RPK Gold through the Black Market Crates we are giving away the bonus Smoke Mutation Character, Mutation Spikes and the Mutation Grenade! So if you want the chance to really outfit yourself for the weekends double EXP Event then this is the best way to do it! Not only will you get all the items in the crate, if you win, you'll get these bonus items too!
Our GM's are always looking to play with the community. This week they will be playing Mutation Games and giving away ZP and GP prizes! They will be playing all week so make sure to keep your eyes open!
Don't forget to look out for our Moderators too! They are giving away prizes as well! So get in and enjoy those games!
The week will culminate in the final standoff between Humans and Mutants in a Double EXP Armageddon! From Friday until Sunday we are doubling the EXP earned from Mutation Games. Note that this is a manual event, so the exp will show up on your account the day later.

UW has decided that in order to stop the Mutants from invading we must put up a wall of text. Hopefully you will read this and it will give you some insights in to whats going here and some future things we have planned.
For those who haven't been in game in a while, you might have noticed we have updated the game in Halloween with plenty of new Halloween content! If you haven't checked out the game, I would highly suggest you do! Because there is another fun thing that has been achieved recently. And that is a significant reduction in the hacking that you might have been used to a month ago.
Hacks HAVE been reduced in the game. There is no doubt of that. And while new hacks enter into the game, and we continue to combat hacking and ban hackers Urban Warfare would like to point out that not everyone in this game hacks. With a reduction in hacking comes the opportunity for you to get into the game and start developing those skills. But just because you get "beaten" in a game doesn't mean someone is hacking!
This is especially true when the person that beat you doesn't ALWAYS get headshots, isn't shooting through walls, speeding around a map or (maybe) flying in the air to spot spot you can't reach. Those are likely hacks and those are all worth reporting.
Not every good player in this game is hacking. And while that may not go as news for some of our community regulars. Hopefully this point can hit home with some new people.
Now as far as some other things that we are working on. Right now we have some things in the works involving new options for the Mall for Clan Leaders. This will also include some changes to the Clan Bank (don't worry current ZP isn't going anywhere). We want to make it easier for larger clans to buy items from the Mall in bulk if they want to. Sure this may not affect everyone, but it hopefully can improve the system for some clans, especially in the larger side of things. And yes, that will mean bulk discounts better than what we have now! And yes, that will also mean an update to the items which can be purchased for clan members etc.
We also have some other stuff in the works. An exciting system which will draw you even more to your Clan Profile and give you something to compare with your friends. Beyond being displayed on the Clan Page and involving stuff that happens both on the website and community and in game. We aren't ready to reveal yet what it will be.
Urban Warfare would also like to take this time to remind itself that Rival Factions is long overdue, and that it's time the public got a bit of information. The Rival Factions stuff is still active in the system, but we have not awarded prizes in a while. This will be changing. We will start doing more Rival Factions stuff and more RF things will tie into stuff we do for the Community. Speaking of one of those things, if you ever thought you could write a Rival Factions mission you will get your chance soon! We will be doing a contest to write a Rival Factions mission coming soon! So keep your guns holstered boys! There's no reason to get trigger happy just yet!
Lastly, we are playing around with the idea of doing some sort of LAN type event here in Toronto. This isn't much more of an idea at the moment. But if you know of, or have access to a LAN Center here in Toronto we'd ask that you be in touch with [GM]Saidin on the forums. It looks like the interest is there and it would be a great way to keep the community engaged. Ideally this would take place before Christmas, but likely this will be done in the new year. Yes it would be planned for a weekend. And the venue for the party would play a large factor into what type of event would be.
And with that, it's time to strap on that Gatling Gun and mow down some mutants!

I searched everywhere but can't find out if the items that come with m60-adv/gatling/rpk gold are perm or not. I now have 20k zp that I bought yesterday was going to keep them for next patch (in fact I doubt interesting stuff will come so would've kept them for xmas patch) but if those items are perm (even knowing I hate mm) I would try out my luck (330k zp bought and only won a kriss XD).
