is it a laser or optical mouse?
and if so, do you use a mousepad?
without a pad, the optical mice (mouses?) read differences in the finish you are using the mouse on, and translate into random movements. -
it's the mouse pad,
laser mouse and optical mouse sometimes get's fooled by the design of the mouse pad and moves in a different direction than the way it's intended to go, so it's safer to use a solid color mouse pad with no design on it for FPS games. -

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENS!:the mouse sends out the laser, visible or not, and then the laser bounces back to where it came from but not at the exact same spot (when being moved), there is actually a reciever around the whole laser part of the mouse, and the reciever acts as an invert system because the laser reflects in the opposite of the direction you are moving ur mouse, u wont be looking backwards all the time , all it senses is movement, not texture (trust me, 7th grade robotics class ftw!) -
naw, thats not true. laser mouses and optical mouses pretty much "know"" what they are doing, they dont see that they are moving over a spongbob mousepad (lmao).

I know exactly what he is talking about and I had it at one point to when I first started playing CF. I did tons of things to try and fix it and at one point I did. But to be honest I forgot what one worked. However this issue is not the mouse, it's only in CF. I have a Death Adder and use a cloth mouse pad.
Here is a list of what I did.- uninstalled Razer drivers
- rolled back the mouse firmware
- CPL mouse fix
- turn off "enhance pointer precision"
