What exactly are you talking about, here?

On many of the maps that people use snipers, they'll have their guns scoped in early, ready for anyone they catch sight of. Monaco being the most common place of this.

This has nothing to do with "hacks/cheating" or whatever...This is just pure intellegence. You setup so you can see where the enemy is going to come around, scope in, and wait. They even peek a /little/, *BOOM*, done.

What, you want them to wait around until you've gotten to a point you can get a clear shot on them before they'll try to scope in and shoot you? That's kinda dumb, don't you think?

In "competitive" play, people will pre-fire often. Ex: Port B, BL is rushing B and someone might be pre-firing to the little corner box, if someone comes they will be headshotted or be damaged.

About pre-scoping, if I'm coming in a corner with awm NN walking I'll be pre-scoping.

Also, there /IS/ something called "Supressing fire." I know it's a rarely used thing here, but a few people actually do make use of that concept. You'll see it at Alaska more than anywhere, I've found, but...
