Steel Series Vs. Razer
So i have seen a lot of hype on these forums about Steelseries gear, but i personally have a mostly Razer set up and im wondering what is the difference? This is an innocent question i want to know what you guys think about both companies products.
Why does Steel series have such high rated gear? Their mice dont look very different or comfortable to me personally. I have some issues with my Deathadder but i originally thought Razer was the premire gaming gear company.
So i want to know. What do you guys find so appealing about Steel series or Razer products?
Thanks.

Its one's choice, in all honesty SS are higher quality. Although with CF the difference will not be game changing. And in your case it most likely is not worth it to change mice.
edit: I have used both SS Kinzu, as well as Razer Diamond Back/Death Adder. -
the difference is the quality. if you're a ''casual'' gamer looking for a sleek mouse and don't care that much about performance, by all means go with the razer. if you have goals in mind that involve winning competitively, or having the best performance, or having the information in the back of your mind that the mouse you're using is being used by most professional e-sports gamers... than go with the steelseries.

I've been studying computers and peripherals for a long time, currently work a summer job at a local computer store and personally have owned both steelseries and razer mouse. i am a competitive gamer.
Wherein lies the real performance difference between a random Steelseries and a random Razer mouse that uses the same sensor? -
I don't see the point for gamer equipment for a F2P game, if I would buy, it would be for COD or other games tbh.
Cross Fire is like 10% of my gaming time.
And I have all Razer products but I would drop them for SS in a heartbeat.
Except my mousepad, I love it. -
I am a fan of both, but I noticed that Razer is the top selling in terms of mouse. I like the Deathadder's perfect feel, but the slicks leave something to be desired. Steelseries siberia USB card is pretty good. I had their Icemat's and they were really nice, much better than the SS 5hv2 (whatever that is) that I am stuck with.
IMO, razer has the best mouses and SS has decent random products, specfically like the QcK Heavy (classic) and there D series or something with glass, pretty interesting, but I noticed no change in my game.
As with razer being only for casual, and SS for comp gamers, thats a lie. Many pro teams use the deathadder simply because it is basically perfect, some teams use the Xai.
But if you're looking for a mouse, logitech, razer, and SS is the best way to go (i personally don't reccomend logitech mouses, i hate my g500) -
The only gaming mouse I've ever gotten was the SS Kinzu, so I'm not much help. Though I can say I saved some money when I bought the Kinzu, since cost was a top priority to me, along with decent quality.
I was able to get the Kinzu for 16 dollars on Newegg, a bargain in my opinion considering the cost of other gaming mice. -
I keep seeing this without much of an explaination..

Exactly. What is the difference seriously?? They use the same sensing devices so when you say quality you mean like the plastic that the mouse is made of or what?
