Computer Specs.
Hello, I'm looking into improving my gaming performance, another words my FramesPerSecond.
Here are my current PC specs:
Windows XP Home.
System Manufacturer: FOXCONN
Processor: AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 2.63GHz
RAM: 1920MB (2GB rounded up)
Graphics: ATI Radeon X1200 Series (It says Approx. Total Memery: 700 MB, but that would mean its really good when it's really not)
With this I run CF at 28-55fps depending on the number of players in the room.
I gotta say that rarely with videos it does weird green screen pixalations, meaning it's finding it hard to cope with the video playing.
I got 2 Options.
1: Save up and get a new super spec PC worth £690 (custum build)
This is a safe option coz it will be future proof with Vista 62bit + 8GB RAM.
But I don't spend that much time on the computer, so that's a lot of money in the wrong direction.
2: Get the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 Graphics Card. (1GB I think.)
This only costs about £60-£89.
What I am wondering is how much fps would I be able to play at with it?
I am a competitive player and games are fun. But I keep finding the reconmended specifications for the modern games over my PC specs.
What are you reconmendations?

Don't bump threads please. The CPU and memory are more than enough for this game, but the X1200 is a very weak card. For your budget I would recommend a Radeon 4770. It costs around $100 (usd) and should not only handle Crossfire at framerates over 100fps, but almost any other game you can throw at it.

Either of them are good choices; since the HD 4770 is designed to compete with the 98*** and GTS 250 series...although the HD 4770 consumes far less power due to new 40nm tech so if your power supply is an older/weaker model, you might want to opt for what Greyclock.
