MSG90 best sniper evar!!!!!!!!
Hell yea! Its so beast. AWM and DSR users dont even have a clean shot at you because its like if you're shooting at them with a pistol that does 70 damage at any range. -
I'll have to agree to disagree on that one. The psg-RD is MUCH better.DesertFlames wrote: »i have both snipers and i suggest awm.

OT: You can't qs with a DSR, you can with an AWM. That should answer your question right there.

It all depends on the map and how well you are at quickscoping. If you suck at quickscoping, the 1-zoom scope of the DSR-1 is what you need. However, if you can quickscope, then its a matter of layout of the map. In some maps a 3x zoom is preferable to a 2x/4x zoom. While on other maps, the 2x/4x zoom helps you perform better.

DSR for TD and AWM for SnD.

Works best for me. >_~
The fact that the DSR stays scoped in = multiple kills, which is much more common in TD.
AWM for SnD because you can't beat QS-ing. ;D -

AWM for SnD because you can't beat QS-ing. ;DAgain, the map layout can change everything. Playing Black Widow or Desert Storm S&D isn't the same as playing Sub Base or Eagle Eye S&D.

haven't tried the DSR. But I'm sure whatever purpose the DSR serves, the AWM can do it too. So if you dont usually shoot people on the foot, the AWM will just do fine:D
Dont be ignorant.

You can QS with a DSR. Its just not as easy as an awm QS.
People are just too much mentally handicaped to accept the DSR. When most people started playing the main sniper was awm, and of course, when the DSR came everyone was raging "omg its so scoped in i cant qs omg it sucks!11111one". yeah. It stays scoped. Nobody is used to the 3x zoom, just realize that.
Coming from my own experience of playing with both in scrims, i have developed a system that works for me. When atacking, i use awm. Its easier to QS, not gonna lie about that, so i would rather have awm to atack. When defending, i use DSR. People say yeah but it says scoped so its better for tdm when you get a lot of multi kills eheheh xD. Wrong. Lets imagine you are in charge of defending A site on Blackwidow. Imagine you have a teammate covering cat, and another one covering mid door. Now imagine you face a full A rush, 5 guys. The great advantage of the DSR is that you can 1hit kill fast and in numbers, shutting down 2 or more people in a rush, not only forcing them to go back, but allowing your teammates do rotate. Let's imagine you are on the stairs pre aiming A long, but not peeking. They come, you take one, crouch (becoming invisible while the 1.5 second of reload happens) come back up, take another shot, etc. The DSR is all about waiting. Pre-aim the corners and the most likely spots in wich enemies appear and wait for them. Of course, im taking into consideration you will have fast reactions. I'll leave you a video of a friend, its prison but you can see how it works by pre aiming likely places.

I prefer DSR.
I've played with both now for a while (from Staff Sergeant 1 untill the rank I can buy DSR I used the AWM), and from now on I'm only playing with my DSR.
! I only play Prison with snipers or sniper only matches, because I suck in TD with sniper ;/
DSR just rocks with the 1.5x zoom, and I got the feeling it shoots faster than an AWM when I click my mouse, maybe it's just me, maybe it's the gun.
Conclusion: Definitly DSR -

I like both, its just they both have their ups and downs. But I can't seem to choose which one to use.
Which one do you guys prefer?
OK Folks. Let's do this.
AWM vs DSR?
AWM. Plain and simple I'll tell you why.
DSR's Price is >.< AWM's is -.- AWM is cheaper by about 10000 GP :P
Both are 1 Shot Kills to the torso excluding legs. So Power is EQUAL however the DSR only does 78 when you hit your enemy's legs whereas the AWM does 81.
When Quick Switching/QQing in order to get out of scope the DSR has a major flaw. When you switch to it on the second Q the animation chambering a bullet (before you can shoot) is substantially longer than the AWM so actually unless you stay in scope
(which is definitely not recommended as in game modes such as TDM and SnD you will get tunnel vision ie focusing on one spot so you are susceptible from the sides) you have a very bad fire rate however if you stay in scope the DSR does have the better fire rate however most good Snipers Quick Switch as a reflex and will find adjusting to a DSR from an AWM very hard. Also you can just zoom out by clicking your zoom button again as it takes a full second to do so.
Another Disadvantage of the DSR is when you shoot because it's Semi-Auto it does not go out of scope meaning again you have no awareness of your surrounding (tunnel vision) meaning again you can and probably will get killed from your sides. As the AWM is a bolt-action it automatically zooms out to chamber another round.
Reload Speed I actually think the DSR is slightly quicker but if your sniping properly you shouldn't really need to reload in the heat of battle.
Accuracy is roughly the same Pin Point basically.
Zoom DSR only 1 level of zoom AWM 2. DSR's zoom is in between both of the AWM. In my opinion the AWM's two levels of zooms are much more helpful.
AWM for the main reason of the switching/tunnel vision aspect. -

Good post.ur right,I have DSR-1 and it ownz if I pre-aim in prison
PS:Idk what pre-aim means but I have a feeling that it means you scoped and you are waiting for the enemy to come out then you just shoot.
