Couldn't of said it better myself. Z8 is just making it harder on themselves. Think about it:
- Have every member of every clan growler the WHOLE match.
or
- Have the forums flooded with hackusations, leading to mods having to close topics/review TONS of replays.
Growler is the only way to go if this tourney is going to get anywhere. -

Yes but unless people are hacking there's no reason NOT to growler, meaning you should just make it manditory.
Get that stickied thread about growler back up. Give instructions on how to run it at 1fps 800x600, so there's no "it lags me" excuses.

Are you guys serious? anyone with half a brain knows how to easily bypass growler this is especially true with 1-5 fps. 10fps and growler can be somewhat effective at detecting WH. Ideally would be 30fps, however I doubt anyone is willing to run that.
There are some really sophisticated hacks, growler is easy to bypass with a simple toggle much less automatically spoofing hacks.
The best anti-cheat method is to just rely on the community as a whole to determine who hacks and who doesn't. If everyone says you hack, and yet you don't, why are you playing CF anyways? SK just won 15K$ with 1.6 y not give that a go? -
The lowest it can go is 2 fps. And it is effective at making sure you don't WH. If someone is bothered to watch the entire thing that is. I don't know where you're getting your info Fisto.
They can't force you to run growler because it is a third party program. However, i'd recommend people run it just in case. -
The problem is not that we don't want to use something like growler.
It's that it is hard to ask 500 people to use a program not affiliated with z8games or any of the developing parties of CF.
Growler is something we may look in to for the finals.
And there are plenty of other measures we will take with future tournaments. -

Except for the fact that growler defaults to two frames a second, then the fact that someone needs to create the hack itself.
Though the truth is, if someone really wanted to cheat that bad, they could probably get away with it unless it was LAN. Though I doubt there are many people in here that could create third party programs.
It would also require you to sync it with the time you start growler, down to that exact frame. I don't think it would be so easy to spoof tbh. -

so now your not entirely confident into your replay system and your judgement I see..
so all those teams before finals may possibly lose because of cheating but that's fine :S -
Throne?id rather have someone toggle walls every one and awhile for .1 seconds rather than know every damn move i make
im for growler
toggling + brightskin is something hard to prove/near impossible without a recording AC or a LAN
I could be using brightskins since beta and nobody could tell, well expect for people who seen my previous growlers :>
