Failed to extract patch file

I started the game today after watching the news about the last update and during patch there was the following message:
"Failed to extract patch file." in a subwindow from CrossFire Update and after I quit the referred message the update (and the game (of course)) quits.

I've rebooted the PC but didn't do anything else (and didn't solve that's why I'm here). Should I install CrossFire again?
