WOGL & AC may be the end of Crossfire ...
this is my postulate:
fact1:
WOGL and its ACS has proven to be pretty successful so far. At the same time its also instilling trust among the crossfire community as a way to ensure the tournament is going to be hack free and only skill based.
fact2:
Crossfire ranks amongst other fps as one of the lower tiers of FPS games that require a low skill level. For example, i often hear players rave that they dont play CSS or CS1.6 so they cmoe to CF where they can own some noobs cuz its so easy the guns have no recoil etc etc.
fact 3: CF is a free to play game, but it is a heavily Zp based game. IF u have the money to spend on armor, spop, advance, gold, silver, heart grenades, flashguard etc, you will get a SIGNIFICANT advantage in the game. My assumption here is that many of the players that buy the ZP items to gain the advantage are inherently lower skilled players who are just not as fast or smart or good aim as your regular FPS player.
Conclusion & Postulate:
ZP buying noobs and self proclaimed decent legit players as-long-as-nobody-hacks noobs will enter WOGL, they will run the ACS and get completely annihilated by actually skilled clans. They will come to the realization that all those months that they lose to hacking clans is actually because the opponent didnt hack, and they actually sucked. With the elimination of spop and armor , and all the other ZP add-ons, they actually fail and get rolled 0-18 even harder. With this, i predict that many lower level clans like Sa*itar*um will completely fall apart and disappear after the tournament. the game of Crossfire will lose many faithful patrons who spend tons and tons of cash because they had realized they lose so much is because they are just baddies pure and simple. Maybe Z8 should had first considered these factors and its repercussion before giving the WOGL tournament and its ACS a thumbs up. The reason that the Official CF tournaments never have anti cheat may be this reason? (conspiracy much?) lawl....

With the elimination of spop and armor , and all the other ZP add-ons, they actually fail and get rolled 0-18 even harder. With this, i predict that many lower level clans like Sa*itar*um will completely fall apart and disappear after the tournament. the game of Crossfire will lose many faithful patrons who spend tons and tons of cash because they had realized they lose so much is because they are just baddies pure and simple. How can you possibly say that someone who takes half damage from nades, has +8 extra bullets and cannot be flashed does not have an advantage? What really ****es me off is that s*nita*ium is even playing! I have repeatedly crushed them several times and made them promise to uninstall the game since they are completely terrible.
Whatever happens in their next wogl match I win. San*t*rium expect to win against KK, which wont happen and I find hilarious, but not nearly as hilarious as it would be for them to actually win. KK should all make an E-promise to quit the internet if they loose to S*n^t#r%&m -

I think u misunderstood my post. as to your point 1, i said z8 will lose lots of customers because the egos of the noobs will be crushed. and tournaments of both ZP involved and non ZP invovled both have occured. Evidently, the tournament involving ZP and no Anti cheat(Z8 tournaments) was epic fail based on how many people were complaining about the cheating violations clans were doing and z8 didnt do anyhting to revoke the match decisions.

I am stating that withotu ZP items, they will get owned harder because they cannot rely on the advantage and that compounds with the fact they cannot call hacks any more. and zp items DO give a big advantage, u know the difference in damage an armored person takes from a grenade versus a non armored person? Now change that grenade from a normal one to a heart grenade. Now think about ur in the middle fo the map, and ur getting shot by a m4 silencer, u dont know where tehy are shooting at u from. But if it was a regular m4, u can fire back at them right away. ALso if u have full armor, an Ak47 takes 5 shots to kill you at mid range. with no armor it takes 3 bullets easy. i would consider those BIG advantages. -

Fisto3000 - I'm just saying with the armor, extra bullets and flashguard it becomes more of a challenge to beat the opponent. But if you are good, you should be able to do it. Give Counter-Strike as an example, you can choose to purchase armor before the round or not. It's an option, people don't cry about it, they accept it as a challenge.
Yea I've played MW2. I really enjoy the competitive community there. I would like to switch to that in the future

People who buy ZP will QQ about the fact they can't use all their special needs items. Second point. I understand your point well and know exactly where you're coming from. Like I said though in the response to Fisto, it just becomes a more difficult challenge to work around. Certain items I can see be a little unfair, but hey it's alright. how can you compare cs buying armor with cf? cs buying armor is an option where you give up money earned in previous rounds for armor and may have to sacrifice on nades... its a balanced game which is why it is popular, and good.
CF isnt balanced. It doesn't how skilled you are vs how unskilled someone else is, the fact remains that people with armor have an advantage. The only sacrifice for armor in cf is real money, which I will not pay on my principle that cf does not deserve my money. A competitive game is BALANCED how ******ed are you that you cant see this? There are no other sports where one player can take make more fouls then others because he paid extra money.
In saying that you like the competitive community in MW2 you are saying you have 0 understanding of what competitive is. League in MW2 are a joke. Since there is 0 in game customizable controls enforcement is done with demos, which require a 3rd party program like growler since MW2 does not have a record feature. When the pro's played MW2 when it first came out they ridiculed it and didn't take it seriously. The recent "upsurge" in cod4 is due to mw2 absolute failure.

but also i kinda got pulled into buying zp/ the blackmarket gp crates on my first account, i sold on my guns/ didnt win anything had no guns and thought staff stg 5 was a high rank.. so didnt want to make a new account.. then got zp then spent on black market one m4c and got 150k gp and re- buy amw and d.e..
but anyways... i try not to use my zp advantages like my guns with +ammo and shovel/axe i tryed armor/it dosnt reallly work
axe isnt that bad.. but still a zp advantage so im trying to shake using it.. -
Flash guard doesn't make you unflashable, it just reduces the amount of time flashed and is also GP. The only thing that makes ZP Buyers better is armor. If you get hit by a grenade it's your fault for not paying attention. Also, so what if they have +8 bullets? Use a scar light then. If you like MW2 so much then go play it. Of course this game is going to be infested with cheaters and QQers and glitches and bad registry and bad net coding and bad support-to-devs and bad everything. If you get mad at one of these things then go punch a pillow.

your fact 3 only applies to some not all, i can hold a 3.0 in pubs and scrims without armor or spop or any ZP items ... just learn to use the m4 standard handle its recoil and have good ears and good aim. kinda harsh basing such a large group of people on the fact they buy ZP because they fail.... we dont buy ZP to play awesome we buy it to to have fun. i dont need ZP to play this game, but if some people do then they really do need to uninstall the game. -
No other 3rd party companys are a threat, neither a down fall to CrossFire. It has been running smoothly, beside the fact there are hackers.
WOGL was created for players who want to be competetive. Players have a choice to participate, or not.
ZP means nothing. Just because they have armour, doesn't mean they can't die. People pay for it, so there going to use it of course. -

CaptainFalcon.. I am indeed the LEADER of CoE, which was (SaNiTaRiUm). Now i think what you're stating is true somewhat actually. Flaming a clan on the forums on random threads like this i guess shows your age but whatever. We have alot of whiners who get owned by the better clans, but so what? They like being competitive in a way and get beat trying to do it? You, Treni, and Slaya were all members of this clan and are the only ones flaming us in these public forums. You obviously don't like us and we get that kid. I for one don't care what you or anyone else thinks here, we play CS:S and crossfire on the side.. You guys are good at Crossfire get over it.
We've played one RESPECTFUL clan that has beat us ONE, and that was Sorry (Klan Khaos). So getting beat by them in the second round wouldn't bother me at all. I thought it would be fun to play in WOGL, where we could try to compete cleanly. Sure ZP helps but armor is not that usefull when someone rushes you with an AK. Any skilled player can kill a decent number or people with armor or without it. Its just a bonus and the armor isn't as good as you might thing. It mostly helps against the nades then against shots. and point2. u made, i was not making a post to complain about the use of ZP items, believe me i can own all kinds of players with or without zp items.( maybe u dont recognize my IGN, actualyl bladek i recognize yours). I am stating that withotu ZP items, they will get owned harder because they cannot rely on the advantage and that compounds with the fact they cannot call hacks any more. and zp items DO give a big advantage, u know the difference in damage an armored person takes from a grenade versus a non armored person? Now change that grenade from a normal one to a heart grenade. Now think about ur in the middle fo the map, and ur getting shot by a m4 silencer, u dont know where tehy are shooting at u from. But if it was a regular m4, u can fire back at them right away. Ugh, the intelligence and deductive reasoning of people in this game is so incredibly low. I have to spell everything out. Its like the response of an average CF player is reduced to 2 word phrases.
I made this post to create a discussion, but kids cant go past every two replies on this thread without attacking me.
