Pc Spec

Hello, I love to play crossfire but i get so low FPS like in a 1V1 i get about 25~30 in a 8V8 i get 1~15.I would love to increase this.I wish crossfire would lower there graphics option like make it CS1.6 graphics. The other day i went to my friends house and played crossfire he got like 80FPS in a 4V4 and 50~70 in a 8V8. I actually had a 1.7 kd but on my computer i get like a 0.8 i think its the FPS. Here are my PC specs and please tell me what i need to improve i can get max 2 gb ram and if its the graphics card please tell me which one to get. here it is:

Intel Pentium 4
2.00GHZ
512 Ram
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
PC-GX260 OPTIPLEX

Thank you!

You need to improve your ram..
if you have vista you will need around 3-4 gb ram to run it good
a new graphic card for sure...

    gamebooster might help
  • Well, looking at your specs, your not going to be able to push it anymore then you already have. Upgrading would not be worth the cost. If you were to upgrade, chance are your
going to be stuck paying $100 for a decent AGP Vcard, and $100 for a ram ugprade if
your mobo only supports DDr1 (which I bieleve is the case because if I remember correctly,
the intel 845 north bridge, which I'm guessing would be the NB considering the Graphics
controller you listed, only supports DDr1 which is not only rare, but expensive xD)

You might be able to push some performance with gamebooster, however with componments close to that of a 9 yearold mid range desktop, I'd highly suggest that
you spend some money on a new desktop while they are still cheap

Even if you did buy a new AGP vcard and more ram... your computer seems to be part of
the age where the OEM's designed computers with limited upgradability in mind. You
might not even have an AGP slot to put a new Vcard, or even worst, the Psupply won't
be able to give the Vcard and new ram enough juice.

Just do yourself a favor, and buy a new computer. You can buy a decent comp from an
OEM for $500 though building it your own will cost the same but bring better gaming
performance. Both options will bring massive computing performance over your
    old P4 rig.

If you still want to upgrade, it'll cost you about $200+ for a few more frames.
  • ya i am just gonna buy a new computer ... a gaming one
