I think you should be able to lie down. Accuracy would be the same as when standing.

then whats the point of laying down if it dosent really improve anything?
less recoil maybe?

When lying down it would be harder to hit the person lieing down. You could do a little better than when crouching. Except you wouldnt be able to move your gun around as far as usual.
