When i run the game i press start and then this comes up...

Error in InitRenderer(). Shutting down.

And then my game shuts down! what is the problem?

I got that with an old windows xp comp, only thing i can suggest is to remove the game and reinstall it, has it worked before? if so has it worked after the mutation patch?

Yeah, i was playing just yesterday.

but i also intalled Unreal Tournament, might that be a problem?

I was playing the game yesterday, it was working just fine.

I have just installed Unreal tournament though. could that have something to do with it?

either you dun have sufficient graphic card memory or you haven't installed the graphic card drivers...

run: dxdiag, click on display tab and you'll see N/A on graphic card

As Mike said,

Initrenderer errors are almost always video card driver problems.

Check for the manufacturer and make of your video card. Then visit the website for the card and follow their instructions to download and install the latest video card drivers.

This post should be in the tech support forum so I'm moving it over there.

Yes, UT is an older game and might have affected your directX version.

Make sure to run a dxdiag and probably reinstall directx to the latest version.

Installing the latest video card drivers will probably also help/fix this.

I had the same problem, take a look at your harddisk, clean up and try disabling your antivirus. Hope I helped ^^
