xFire update virus

Did anyone else get a virus when xfire updated?

edit: btw should I press delete or no action? yes the window is still on my screen.

Deleted the first one, rebooted computer, reinstalled xfire, now I get this.

How do I ignore it now? It's automatically being quarantined.

I doubt it is anything serious. Xfire is a serious company.
It seems legit, I'd delete it, but if it stops xfire working, then reinstall.
More info type the 'newHeur_PE Virus' into google, See what sort of thread it is.

I reinstalled xfire, it auto quarantines the 'false-positive' or whatever it is then tells me it can't finish the update due to a corrupted file in the update.

It's definately a false positive, NOD32 is overprotective, If your just gonna be gaming and on xfire, Just disable your antivirus. Just odnt go on any pronz sites or anything

I looked on xfire forums, seems a few people havin same problem. Im sure xfire will sort it out soon.

I disabled my AV and updated xfire. It seems to be working fine now. Thanks nooby.

I got nothing. Extremely likely to be a false positive. Try adding the Xfire folder to a white/trusted list.

Note that turning your AV off all together for more than a few minutes is never a good idea.

It's back on now. I only disabled to update then turned it back on.

All these people with antivirus... All I have is my router's firewall and Firefox. It's been years since I've had ANY problems. I think you're all doing it wrong.
