After downloading v_1039 of the CrossFire game client about 3 times in attemps to fix this problem, the message still appears. I don't know whatelse to download since i downloaded 2 official CrossFire mirrors AND a UTorrent download. They all downloaded perfecly, but still doesn't fix this problem.
Please help?

From what I know, the West Coast download location has the old game still, so downloading from there will cause this. Try downloading from the East Coast location or from torrent.

Ok, stop spamming the thread first off. Second, uninstall CF, go into program files and delete the "Z8 Games" folder. Download cf from Z8 Games DLS. Install cf, if it doesn't work come back here.

Its impossible to move version.ini from the folder without a bluescreen but I had a solution to this in other games...

I did that and it did not work

I do all it. Uninstalled game, deleted the "Z8games" os program files and cleaned all my pc with CCleaner and Advanced System Care. After this I installed my CF on security mode of PC and it's still with the same problem

okay, solved the problem.
Go to where ever crossfire is installed (e.g c:/programfiles/z8/crossfire)
open the file called version (it's in notepad format), and change the latest version to 1090. save the file somewhere else (such as desktop) and drag the file to the crossfire location. select the option for replacing the old file for the new one.
change the file properties to 'read only', and crossfire should play.
