Is there away to get better ping on Crossfire ?

I have 175 ping and idont like it so much, I been playing CF for 13 months and
it would be really cool to get 130 Ping/Latency or 150 Ping/Latency.

So if any of you are smart and knows alot about pings and how to get it better.

please help me

Live in Canada and play with 13-50 Ping !

Or , buy a faster net/PC.

I found a VPN trial download once on the forums, but I can't find it anymore.

It was informed to me that you can transfer your PC to the location of Canada and lower your ping. Though, it's a 3 hour trial lol.

Here is short and simple guide to default XP VPN:

it's already built in, so no additional payment needed

If only you can open your port 1723 and enable protocol 47 (gre) you may run it.

Just upgrade your internet speed. I did form 1.5 Mbps to 7Mbps and it helped me get my ping down from 125 to 69.

Stop this bull**** please. Maybe you want people to move to the moon when you discover water on it? I own VERY stable 4mb sdsl and still game servers cant provide ping lower than 165ms for me.

Cris 7712: its all in the guide. However you may not be able to make your protocol 47 work - it depends on ISP, some of them just don't want ppl to use VPN connection. Wich is against the law imho, but who cares, really.

PS: to Canadians: move to Europe so you can have a wonderful Winter Olympics xD We've got A LOT of snow, ya know ^_^

no pay for play(internet upgrade) "better" in cf :O
i have dsl 16.000 isnt it enough?
what about that openDNS programm?? is it good?
