Xfire vs Fraps

id like a GM's word on this,i cant use xfire for recording videos,wether its a replay or not it only records at below 30fps no matter what i do,i have it selected at halfsize @30,60,100 fps and it comes out laggy and lags my game up too.but with fraps i can record over 70fps steady framerate While Playing So,am i only limited to xfire?if i were to use fraps there wouldn't be a noticeable difference between a xfire recorded vid and a fraps vid,cept on my comp where its laggy...

only in this game are you forced to fraps while playing to get good footage.

In Counterstrike, Cod4, and other competitive shooters, they fraps the replay, where you can get 1st person, or any other camera angle. And their replays are accurate unlike CF replays. Unfortunately unless your computer is strong, I don't suggest recording while playing. Your performance will suffer.

Yes TY i did know most of that,anyways my point was that the XFA or xfire video awards will only accept xfire videos,which is total BS cuz xfire don't work for me,not every1s computer can run xfire VC so why aim towards ppl who have supercomputers?

From what Fallen said that any video that isnt XFIRE it will be invalid THAT'S TOTAL BS.even now Xfire doesnt have full compatability with CF on any OS.otherwise i wouldnt have such crappy framerates

If fraps is too high-end, an uncommon but effective alternative could be Camtasia. You get a basic editing software, and a screen recorder that has great quality. lol cmon guys no1 understands me?the point of this thread was i cannot make or putup any videos for the contest because the Requirements are Xfire videos only

hence any camtasia fraps hypercam w/e will not be acceptable....
