I think there was one back in SubaGames In Toronto.

No, and that wasnt a LAN party. It was a pre-beta tournament to win 1st gen iPod touch

If the game continues to grow, its bound to have some followers willing to organize a lan.

The game isn't set up for LAN parties tbh. You could try to set one up, but the ping isn't going to be ~2 like it would on a lan, since you'd still have to connect and play on Z8Games servers. Everyone would have the same ping though

For example, if it was in Massachusetts, everyone would have the same 30 ping or so.

It depends. Most LAN tournaments will have their own computers, but if it's just a get-together, it's bring your own.
