Very Odd [G4Box]

Alright so we have heard on these forums that the devs and people who do actualy "updates" and coding are from G4Box. Bruce's sig with the G4box asian guys is an example. And we've been told that they are in another country such as korea/china.

Now i would just like some clarification as to why Z8 games works in the G4Box office in Toronto.

^^ That is straight from Z8 Games terms of use. As you can see the address for g4box and z8 games is the exact same. I dont understand why they told us the devs were from g4box in another continent.

They have offices around the world. One in North America which is in Toronto. You wouldn't send letter to Korea, but their HQ is there.

You don't understand how the companies that bring you Crossfire work. Here's how it breaks down:

Neowiz and Smilegate - Two companies based in Korea jointly developing Crossfire for all hosts in the world.

G4Box - The company with the license to host Crossfire in North America

Z8 Games - The name G4Box gave the portal site that contains Crossfire and Metin2.

So Z8 is basically G4Box's property, and G4Box is the company running our version of CF. Bruce's signature is technically missing the reference. Rather than G4Box it should say Smilegate or Neowiz.

Not a problem, just wondering because bruces comment confused me.

Z8 Games is just the portal site of G4Box, So the GM's work for G4Box. Therefore the Devs are neowiz and smilegate, those are the excuse my french $%%&$&^$ who ruin the game.

No, that would be the developers. They basically tell G4Box when they're going to patch and send them a patch with whatever they're adding.

so G4 Box the people who are in charge of running the servers and the game have NO say in what comes in and what the Devs should work on for the next patch? That's a very ironic way to run a game.

There's a big difference between owning a game and hosting it. Basically what the devs did is said "Ok, you're going to be representing us in North America. You'll be in charge of maintaining and updating the servers and making sure the community has access to the game. You'll be in charge of setting up game events and tournaments, and you'll be able to sell ZP. We'll do the rest." It's not like they showed up and said "Ok, you're in charge of NA CF now, do what you want".

Also, G4Box has some say in what goes in and out of the game, but not as much as you seem to think. They can try to argue why a certain feature would be a good idea, but the developers have the final say.

It isn't exactly like that. For example, if a truly amazing suggestion came along, the GMs would be able to take a look at it and try to convince the devs to implement it. In a perfect world, they'd be able to go over all of them and talk about them with the devs, but there's only so much they can do. The influence they have on what goes into the game is better spent on other things.
