What modes should I play often?

Search & Destroy, Elimination, and Ghost Mode are good because you only get one life per round, so you have to make the most out of that one life. The best way to get better, is to keep playing real good players until you are able to keep up with them.

The mode isn't as important as the people. You should be playing with people who are better than you and willing to teach/help. Also, you should be playing against people better than you often.
If you want to play competitively in this community: SnD is what you should play most often just to improve your map sense.
*Edit* GM I find decent for sniper practice as they move faster than normal people and are harder to get a visual confirmation of. Though that will only help so much. Getting better will require you to spend a lot of time dying to better snipers than you and riflers until you can out shoot them. -
Thanks, good and decent answer, I feel more confident. Thanks to S4N also for the tip.The mode isn't as important as the people. You should be playing with people who are better than you and willing to teach/help. Also, you should be playing against people better than you often.

No problem. I've personally found that the SnD, GM, and EM can also help you get better, because when you die, you are able to watch your teammates. If you've got some skilled teammates, you can watch and learn some of their tricks and you get to see what they do. This has helped me get better. I always enjoy watching a real good player at work.

Your welcome. The trouble may be finding the really good players to play with, as often the best of them talk trash to most people worse than them and are so arrogant its just not worth spending time with them because you'll just find yourself agitated. I'd recommend finding some decent chill people who fit you to play with and learn from. Also, make an effort to play against those arrogant kids in scrims because even though they do nothing but talk trash. You will learn from it and get better.

I'm not a very good player at all and would like to know what modes i should play often. =/ GM, SND? And any tips on how to get better because I suck like hell. Thanks.
EDIT: Get better at aiming, sniping (mostly those two)
Ghost mode. get head phones and play away! Remember, first rule: think like ghost. and you gotta know the skill of your oponents: are they pro and if you kill them in the vent are they gonna drop down in A hall and try to come around, or are they newbies that keep coming in the vents? -
i reecomend, TD at ship, good map to snipe
.. gm.. i dont think so, you will freak out the other players cause you dont let them hear breath, and too much bunny now.

If you are lacking in good guns, play EM in order to ensure that you aren't owned by better weapons.
Or play Ghost Mode, either side will sharpen your hearing skills, aim, map awareness and teamwork skills,
I wouldn't reccomend SnD if you are very bad, since you'll get owned far to easily, save it for when you're semi-proficient.
If you find that you are dying too frequently and it's boring, switch to TDM.
Keep practicing. -
-play every mode with every weapon, including pistol/snipe/knife only's. play more CF than ur playing now.
-mess with ur sensitivity settings and crosshairs to see if there's something better for u now in this stage of ur CF-life.
-for sniping: play snipe only S&D's. Use a SR in GM. play snipe only TDM's. use your sniper rifle more often. play snipe only FFA. play prison. use your sniper rifle in an all-weapon FFA and any other all-weapon game. use all of your experience out of all that to get better at aiming fast in scope when u see a target (since getting shot will make it hard to aim), quick-scoping (forget about no-scoping, that's just for fun), moving in/out of cover and re-aiming where the enemy u just saw was because it's likely he'll be around there, learning every snipe spot and remembering every spot you've seen in montages and in game, lastly - don't switch to ur pistol unless sum1 is very close, knows where u are, and u think they are a decent player/they have more than half their hp because u never know when u might be able to just clutch it snipe-only. also, get used to purposely creating space between yourself and an opponent during sniping in a S&D so you don't have to use a deagle vs. ScarL/Kriss/Thompson, ect.. so when u see that 'x' where ur teammate died, and it's near, run away and aim back OR around to flank. Think - LESS CONFRONTATION=MORE ASSASSINATION. -

Yeah play for hours straight NON-STOP. And probably play SnD on the BL=Black List. You have 2 chances to win. Bomb Blows & You kill all of the people. Plus it takes time for the people to defuse. SO PLANT QUICK. lol
